You are suggesting that by the same token DtC should be frightened of Biden, and coupled with the quote you’ve selected, the implication is that Biden doesn’t know what Hezbollah is. But Biden’s quote, regardless of whether you agree with the ideas presented, shows that he knows what Hezbollah is. Biden’s quote is absurdly nonsensical. To the point where I don’t even know what the thought he was talking about.
Whatever it was, it sure wasn’t Hezbollah or Lebanon, and I doubt that Obama was making policy statements in the early 80’s, either.
I found her explanation of why she was annoyed with the Couric interview quite interesting:

Not knowing what Hamas is does not equal supporting Hamas. Otherwise I support a whole lot of stuff that I probably wouldn’t, if I knew what it was.

He meant to say Syria. it was an honest slip of the tongue. He led an effort to get Syria out of Lebanon in 2005. He said at the time that if we didn’t get Syria out of Lebanon, Hezbollah would control Lebanon, where it now does have political power.
It’s not a show of ignorance or delusion by Biden, just mangled phrasing.
