Besides, there are rather few really stupid Objectivist, its an affliction visited mostly on the cerebrally overburdened, the kind of people who think smart is a virtue rather than merely a characteristic. I don’t know that I’m a better person (because I don’t know what that means). But I do know that the best way to set up society for the benefit of everybody is to make sure I get more stuff than other people (because I’m able to and do contribute more to society). Other people are better able to (and do) contribute mor than me, and they have more stuff than me.

Obama raises taxes on the $600,000+ set. Those at ~$226,000 and below get a tax cut: those at the top of that range receive higher cuts in absolute terms than those at the bottom (though by percentage it differs).

For those under ~$110,000, Obama delivers a higher tax cut than McCain.
“He keeps changing it” is hogwash of course. This is from a July 2008 analysis.
Under the McCain plan, the employer deduction for heath benefits will be eliminated. He will encourage individual plans with his $5000 tax credit, which will not be indexed for health care inflation. AFAIK, there is no attempt to address insurance company efforts to turn away the unhealthy or those with pre-existing conditions.

What I found “quite interesting” was that even in that interview with Fox, she failed to bring her points, if there even are any, across. She claimed to want to talk about what she would bring and what values she holds, but instead attacked Obama.

I would have liked to hear her actually talk about something relevant, and found her failure to do so interesting. Perhaps ‘telling’ would have been a better word?

Yes, of course I’ve seen that. It considers only income taxes and not employment taxes. And the “tax cut” for most of the people at the bottom is actually a cash payment from the government, not a reduction in the taxes they pay to the government. And this is the third iteration of this plan, so he started off alot worse than this.
