Better or… worse than… ellipses?

Out of curiosity - is this the shortest time from first post to Pitting ever?

I noticed that too. It reminded me of the way words were rendered in the comic books I read as a child, only those were bolded:

“So, Batman, it looks like you and Robin are trapped! And you are in the sights of my Destructo-Ray! Say your prayers now, because in one minute, you will be … just a memory!”

Bolding or italics; I cannot help but think of those old comic books when I read SarahWitch’s posts.

I’ve been wondering that myself. Does anybody know?

LOL, at least with ellipses, I can get a Captain Kirk vibe going in my head.

What’s the old joke about legal strategy? If the law’s on your side, hammer them on the law. If the facts are on your side, hammer them on the facts. And if neither is on your side, hammer the table.

If I put a gold fringe on my tv, do I get free cable under Admiralty Law?

This isn’t even the first pitting of her. Check out the Omnibus Trolls R Us Thread.

We’ve had posters pitted before they made a single post, just because of their user name.

Wow.

Yeah, we’re jerks sometimes.

She reminds me, a little, of someone who posted on a different forum (assuming it is a she). A person of bovine intransigence who was, oh, ever so much smarter than everyone else, and the absolute Queen of Word Salad. This one seems a little more coherent (night school, perhaps?) but just as stupidly intelligent and comparably brash. If it is the same person, she will be gone ere long.

Wow indeed. Miller, thanks for the info.

I thought, “How does the pitter know?,” and then I remembered — that “Welcome to our newest members” thingie.

Let’s see, I got busted on ellipses use. Too many exclamation marks used. Thank God I didn’t find the semi-colon on the keyboard more useful. Whew, dodged that bullit!

“bullet”

I remember that one. Did Usama ever end up posting, I wonder? (Or was it Osama? One of the variants of the name, anyway.)

Now add spelling ( I cannot win for losing ). What was I reading or thinking to make me mis-spell such an easy word? Hmmm?

You were thinking of a Steve McQueen movie, perhaps?

Could be, watched it about a month ago. Who knows? My brain has holes like swiss cheese sometimes.

Hey, it is all ok. Many of us here have already forgotten more than we ever knew.
