Saskatchewan is the Big Smoke today!

We’ve had hot dry weather over the entire province this spring.

In the north, that means forest fires. Lots of them, maybe over 130 currently burning.

Today it was a beautiful hot day as I walked to work under a blue sky. My only concern was keeping in the shade to avoid the sun.

Pretty much like this: http://tourismregina.com/assets/wascana-park-attractions.jpg.

By noon, with a north wind blowing the smoke, it was like this:

The entire province is now under a smoke alert, and the north wind has blown our smoke as far south as Kansas! (Sorry, Baker!)

No piping or other physical activity tonight. Just trying to breathe…

The smoke is uncomfortable, but at least it isn’t terrifying.

Please send rain.

And here in the East it’s been cold, shitty, and rainy. It was a high of 14 degrees yesterday.

Golf night tomorrow with rain forecasted. Lovely.

This after the worst damned winter ever. I hear the world is warming, but it ain’t warming here. I could use some warming right now.

We’ve got your warming here on the West Coast. Due to go over 100 degrees again tomorrow. Pesky drought. Not sure why we’re not the ones with the smoky skies to be honest.

If I could trade weather with you I would!
