My daughter is going to be applying to Tufts University. She has taken SAT’s, ACT and three SAT II’s. Her ACT was 28 (93rd percentile), while all three SAT II’s were around 600 (around 50th percentile). Her SAT score was 1400 (around 94th percentile). Now, Tufts says they well accept ACT scores in lieu of SAT II’s. It seems to me she should submit her SAT score and ACT and ignore the fact she has taken any SAT II’s. Is there any flaw in this reasoning? Will the school think this is a strange set of scores? Could it hurt her chances of acceptance rather than increase them, as it seems to me it should (increase I mean)?
