Well, it’s that time of the year. All the British Literature students are being made to do a satire project. The popular format is video taped, but it CAN be almost anything. This can be in a group, or solo.
Some popular ones of years past have been: a parody of COPS (expertly done, with cameras in the car, donuts, a drug bust, high speed chases, and a sexually-frustrated dog), “The Chris Hightower Project” (Chris Hightower is a kid at school who is large in both physical size and popularity), and “The Jerry Sprung Show” (Done when rumors of the Clinton-Lewinsky affair were floating around, and thus including commercials for Presidential Brand cigars, cucumbers, candles, etc.).
Now, I’m looking for ideas. I’ve thought of one, tell me what you think:
There’s a local community collage with the initials DACC. Their new ad campaign is “Catch 'ya at DACC!” Well, I thought of doing a series of ads or something, maybe a recruitment video for the Tilton Institute of Technology (not a real school or anything. . .). (Tilton is a not-well-thought-of suburb) Look at the initials. Exactly. Subtle humor works. But I don’t know. . .
Any thoughts, suggestions, etc?
