Satisfaction?

It’s been difficult watching the coverage of the terrorist attacks on TV. The most gnawing thing to me is knowing about what I’m not permitted to see on the television, like the raining of body parts on the impact of the planes.

We must take action against terrorism, although it can never be stopped. All we can to is try our best to prevent it and effectively retaliate when we can’t. It can never stop.

I encourage military action against terrorists and those that provide aid and comfort to them, as I know many others do, to varying degrees.

But when we see those bombs dropping on Pakistan and Afghanistan, or wherever they may be going, what feeling will it give us? Joy? Satisfaction?

I support attacks, but how will we feel after they’re done, knowing what such destruction does to human life? Better?

I guess it brings up thoughts of the film American Beauty, when Annette Bening’s (sp) character mourns the loss of her husband, although she was so intent on killing him.

People yell for vindication, but will it truly vindicate you?

I will watch the attacks on television and feel that they are justified, but I for one won’t feel good about it.

Anyone else?

I would not feel good about the loss of life, but I would feel good about hopefully taking action that will help to eliminate terrorist acts in the future…

Through hard resolve and setting ourselves upon a long and difficult path that will require personal sacrifice and to freely sacrifice comfort and convenience in support of the cause of freedom. To face courageously all the challenges and horrors that await us in the struggle ahead and never waver in our resolve and to emerge as a nation on the other side victorious. This I think will bring satisfaction.
