And these are the folks with whom you will people and defend your new territory? I don’t think so. Tolkien fandom is probably not a good selection criterion for settlers or fighters. I’m not saying it should be an eliminating factor, just that choosing on the basis of Tolkien fandom is probably not going to get you all that skilled a bunch of people in the areas in which you need skills.
Plus Skald is running this for profit here. Unless he runs a new reality show from the dramatic events of your settlement of Eregion, I don’t think he’s covering transport. Not to mention that the respondants to your ad will by no means necessarily accept your leadership.
And this doesn’t begin to address the fact that once you introduce the manufacturing of weapons in Middle-earth, you’ve created an arms race that you will eventually lose, just as Irishman said.
