Saving a yahoo folder to a new place

I have a free yahoo email account. I’ve made a few folders within Yahoo and I’d like to save one of them either to my hard drive or to a CD/floppy disk.
I can’t figure out how to make Yahoo move that folder to someplace that isn’t a Yahoo folder.
Can anybody tell me?

either manually save each email as a text/html file…

or…

use an offline web browser such as Webzip to download the entire folder to your hard disk…

i’m sure there are other methods too… but the offline web browser option is simple and efficient…

To anyone using yahoo or any other web-borwser based email: you have to realise what you get in your browser is a web page displaying your message. It is just an HTML web page just like any other HTML web page. Saving email messages as HTML web pages is extremely inefficient because you are saving loads of crap with it (all sorts of little icons etc).

At any rate, your options are to save it as an html document (file- save as). You can choose HTML only, HTML single file or HTML complete. If you just want the text use HTML only.

The other option is to access Yahoo or other email with a POP3 program which will let you download all the emails at once and in proper “email form” . Yahoo POP3 access used to be free but no more.
