Saving your used pregnancy kit?

On another board I frequent, somebody brought this up. To my astonishment I learned that there are women who save (or photograph to be saved) their pregnancy test strips. Out of 32 replies to the thread, 14 saved the strip and 3 photographed it and saved the picture.

I threw mine away and it never even occured to me to do otherwise.

Now I’m wondering if I’m weird, or those other women are weird. Did anybody here save their pregnancy test strips?

All 3 of them  As well as the pictures. I had all but given up hope of being able to be pregnant. My husband was in utter disbelief. Even after the doctor confirmed, we still were in shock.

Pregnancy makes you do weird things. Don’t sweat it. Wait until your husband wants to save the umbilical stump. BLEH!

We have a “pregnancy memento box” – in addition to numerous congratulation cards, doctor’s reports, hospital wristbands, etc., we also have the five pregnancy tests that my wife took over a two-day period.

Hey, we seriously thought it was never going to happen, so getting that double-line was a rather massive deal around here…

Yep, I have mine. I didn’t need it, as I knew by my morning temps I was pregnant, but my husband didn’t believe me, so somewhere around 7 weeks I got a test to satisfy him. Nice dark line on that one! At first, I was too sentimental to throw it out, but I’m way too scattered to actually have a “memento box” or somesuch. It sat on the shelf in the medicine chest. At the moment, it’s tossed with a bunch of other random bathroom crap that was thrown together when we moved. I think it’s under the sink in the bathroom. I won’t throw it out, although realistically, I’ll probably never properly mementoize it, either!

I don’t have my son’s, as that was 14 years ago and more of an “Oh, crap!” test than a “yay!” test.

I have to confess that I saved at least one (I did rinse it, at least). How else am I going to convince my kid when she’s of age that she’s not a space alien?

So the line stays visible even after the pee dries out? I couldn’t figure out a more dignified way to ask that, sorry.

24 months, so far!

I’m like you…too scattered to have any semblance of organized mementos. BUT…I do have the test sticks for both my daughter and current gestational baby #2. They are in the drawer of my nightstand.

Now that I think about it, I should label which one was for which kid, but who am I kidding? There’s no way I will ever get around to doing that!
