I am a good guy in my own life. Anyone who knows me IRL would tell you that. I have to adopt an asshole persona here because assholism is all I get and have gotten from my first day on this board, maybe even my first post. Even at that however, I’m far less assholish than my opponents here. How many times have I said “fuck you” to someone here. Or called them an “asshole,” or told them to “shut the fuck up?” How many times have I insulted someone’s age (or their genitals, lol)? Etc, etc. Even the assholisness I have to adopt to get my points across here is far less assholish than the treatment I receive.
I’ve sometimes felt the board should pay me to post here. There always seems to be lots of views and clicks whenever I show up.
So I keep hearing. My experiences with the young guys I mentioned and the young women I work with seem to belie that. Time will tell I suppose.
I’m a conservative on a board of hyped-up liberals. I’m ALWAYS against almost everyone in every thread I post in. You and iiandyiiii and anyone else who feels the numbers I’m up against here are proof that I’m wrong need to get outside your bubble. My Facebook feed alone contains a greater number of women simpatico with my views than the number opposing me in these threads. And a fair number of them are young to boot
I read recently that something like only 26% of the country identifies as liberal. And this is after 50 years of fevered agitation. So I wouldn’t be so confident that once conservative Boomers die out it will be all peace and love in leftie-land. Even France, Germany, Great Britain and Sweden have their troublesome conservative factions, (which are growing by the day these days in response to too much liberal dingbattery for too long a period of time, which always seems to happen with leftist countries who inexplicably choose not to keep their populaces sufficiently liberal at the point of a gun).
