I was doing fine with the SCP website till I got to the “Star Eyed Children” section, then I almost threw my laptop across the room. HOLY SHIT, BLACK EYED CHILDREN!
I don’t think it has its own site, all I’ve ever found it on is youTube. And yes, I recommend watching the videos when its daylight out.
This is pretty scary
Is this the site you’re looking for? http://www.kiddofspeed.com/
Oh yeah, anyone on LiveJournal who wants more creepyness, please join the ontd_creepy LiveJournal. It is excellent!
That’s the creepy part. He was standing in front of a house in Idaho and it looked exactly the same as the house in Houston, even going so far as having identical fence damage. Andrew stayed in both, but Lucy/John were only in the Houston house. I’m not sure if that helped any, I’m not very good at explaining things.
Bah. Missed the edit window.
Have you read the account that started it all? Here’s the original post by Brian Bethel. It still gives me the creeps.
It’s not going to scream at me, right? …right?
Love 'em! Please keep adding suggestions.
Can someone tell me what I’m going to see if I click on this? I’m curious to see what the hubbub is but I don’t want to be surprised. >.>
The first page has a somewhat graphic and definitely disturbing horror photo as the “splash” image.
A bloody maniac with an axe is standing over a decapitated woman - and looking back at you through the keyhole that you’re peering through.
It’s the website of a guy who composes awesomely scary horror photographs, including a lot of makeup work and some photo tricks. Children are participants in some of these. His linked blog has some explanations about how certain photos were composed.
Now I’m afraid to look at it.
Edit: But I love all the SCP links. Anyone know of more particularly good ones? I liked the one about the play. :3
Well, this starts off with the exact same photo, but here’s a direct link to his blog post on the “making of” for this image. It shows a lot of prop and makeup work, the real guy behind the made-over maniac, etc., so I think it does a lot to make the shot easier to look at.
Yeah. I looked at all the pictures and totally came close to realizing that this guy KNOWS what my nightmares are made of and nearly panicked. After seeing the “making of” (for a bunch of them) with the smiling “killer” and happy little girl, I felt way better. It really was creepy, though, seeing them at first. Especially at night.
Last year, or maybe the year before, Joshua Hoffine started having monthly sales of some of his prints in the months before Halloween; I should’ve bought some then. There’s always hope that he’ll run another sale.
Creepiest detail, to me: look at image #04 in his portfolio, titled “Bed”.
By the hands, there are two groups of blocks arranged into words: DADDY and NO.
Whoa.
Is this supposed to be a representation of how a child might see sexual abuse? Like, the real monster under the bed is Daddy Rapist?
I didn’t want to look at the pictures alone so I made my ten-year old sister look at them with me. Her laughter made them easier to deal with.
Or maybe representing her voiceless screams, calling for Daddy to help, and then yelling no at the monster when it’s too late.
That one does make more sense, doesn’t it? I have a sick mind, don’t I?
