I hate to admit it, but this one actually looks pretty damn cool. I hated the first one, refused to watch the second one, but this trailer really looks like something that I’ll totally enjoy.
The reason this one “feels” different, is because those damn Wayans brothers (Keenen and Marlon) have nothing to do with this one. Instead of Keenen directing this one, we have the legendary David Zucker on board to do the deed this time. The director of Airplane, Police Squad, the Naked Gun films, and other such films. Hell, he produced Phone Booth.
On the writing side, we don’t have Keenen or Marlon, and instead we have a few different guys, Brian Lynch (I), Craig Mazin, Pat Proft, Kevin Smith (screenplay), and David Zucker (re-write). Yes, it’s THAT Kevin Smith.
This could just be f’n awesome! Not to mention that we have both Charlie Sheen and Leslie Nielson in the flick, with a bunch of other guys and gals.
For the first time, I can say I’m looking forward to a Scary Movie! :lol
I have to agree. I never enjoyed the first so much either (except for some bits and pieces) and never got around seeing the second one.
But the trailer for the third DOES look good - and the fact that it’s directed by Zucker raises my hopes anyway.
Of course, that said, DON’T EVER JUDGE A MOVIE BY ITS TRAILER!!! (For example, I was very much intrigued by the trailer for “Signs” but I absolutely hated the movie. Further, there are a number of opposite cases, where the trailer was vague and boring but the movie was great.)
