did anyone else see that thread in GQ ‘words that cannot be said over the net’? now its gone. either some funny moderator is having a little joke, or whats his name was right and the CIA are torturing him at this moment
The OP’er looked a bit trollish to me. I wouldn’t be surprised or concerned by his sudden disappearance.
Gunslinger is correct. In the opinion of the GQ mods (and the rest of the MB staff), the poster in question was merely trying to disrupt the operation of this board. There are several threads from him that were sent to oblivion. The GQ forum is our showpiece. We don’t tolerate that kind of trash on the front lawn.
As for your veiled accusation of moderator caprice, that just doesn’t happen; it’s quite unfounded. There’s quite a bit of discussion on issues such as this that takes place before any of us acts.
Actually, it was a veiled accusation of moderator carapace…he was only trying to get you to come out of your shell.
…hey! I thought MPSIMS was our showpiece!
chill it was just a joke
Hmmm…on November 9, in this thread, Ukulele Ike makes a joke about the word “carapace.” The next day, EJs Girl starts a thread about lobsters at 1:39 ET, in which she also uses the word “carapace.” Approximately 30 minutes later, Ukulele Ike starts a thread about crab chips.
Does that seem just a little too…convenient to anyone? Disappearing threads, arthropods, I’m just worried here.
Speaking of UncleBeer, it occurred to me that our moderators are sorta like the snails in this great fishbowl we call the SDMB. They keep everything pleasant and bright and crystal clear, but they have to eat a lotta shit.
Trying to throw me off the scent by bringing gastropods into it? I’m watching you, mister.
