Very good game, all! We had 27 players (that’s 972 answers ack!), a runaway winner and lots of ties.

The scores are below. Congratulations WhatExit? on winning by a landslide!

With the scores I put everyone’s “accepted” answers. If you have any questions or arguments, do let me know.

One important thing about this game: I totally forgot to mention in the rules that you get one point every time you use a word that starts with the letter in your answer. For instance “Black Beauty” would be 2 points (if no one else said it) and “Big Black Book of Names” would be 3 points. This is the traditional way to play Scattegories - it seems like some of you knew and some of you didn’t (that’s partly how WhatExit? got his fantastic score) - and that’s how I scored this game.

Below the regular scores you’ll see the scores if I had NOT counted the extra points (since it wasn’t mentioned in the rules).

I apologize wholeheartedly for not putting that in the rules and not giving everyone a fair shake.

That being said…I don’t think I want to host this game anymore. Way fun but scoring takes a hell of a long time  Plus, with so many players it’s really hard to get too many points…I think. Maybe we should consider taking “applications” for the next game then dividing people up into even groups and then assigning a scorekeeper for each group. That way, the scoring isn’t on one person and everyone has a better chance of getting some points.

I dunno, maybe I’m wrong. People did get some great answers in there so maybe 20+ players isn’t too much. Definitely too hard to score!

Ok, on to the scores!!!

Wow, what a ton of ties. Thanks ZipperJJ for all the work of scoring it, too!

Good job, Zippy!

Congrats to the winner!

Woot! And I thought I was doing a pathetic job when I was working on it. Thanks for running the game, it was fun!

Great job ZipperJJ, thank you for hosting this.

I did not honor the time limit, I took almost an hour on the 36 answers instead of the much shorter time the actual game allows. I also had some help from my 10 year old. She reminded me of the “The BIG Blue Book of Beginner Books”.

I guess, I am saying you can discount my score and give the victory to labtrash. I just had fun playing.

Jim

Wooo! Bronze for me! Thanks, ZipperJJ!

I’m happy with my 7th, and the game was tons of fun. Thanks for running the game, ZipperJJ!

Not quite.

No, WhatExit? you deserve credit for coming up with the answers you did. Yes, you spent more time than the “allotted time” but so did others–at the very least, so did I. But I’m shocked at some of the answers I gave which no one else used.
