This is the most entertaining thing about that rant. She spends ‘‘hours and hours’’ looking for stuff to post on Facebook, and honestly believes it matters.
To be fair to her she has been using computers and the internet for all of 3-4 years now, so she probably has a pretty good grasp on what works and what doesn’t when it comes to using the intertubes as a tool of social influence.
And I will give her this. Going on facebook and delivering insulting, condescending lectures to your liberal friends and families does work to change their opinions. Especially if those lectures are so full of factual inaccuracies that people stand there thinking ‘how does an adult reach that age and on one hand manage to have an education and an ability to independently perform daily acts of living such as buying their own groceries and balancing a checkbook, and still be misinformed and gullible enough to believe this stuff’.
It’d be funny if she followed that up by saying ‘do you know what they did, your cunting voters’.
So I was finally able to listen/watch this… I laughed for the first 5-10 minutes because I kept thinking… They should not let Ann Romney upload unvetted videos.

Seriously, it drove out my previous earworm from Thursday night, where I listened to Bob Dylan in concert croaking out some sort of thing that turned out to be “tangled up in blue”.
That is serious comedy gold. With some schnapps, beer and a sidekick to poke her with taunting lines lines she could become our side of the pond’s version of Karl Pilkington. Granted it would be an incredibly loud, screeching harpy Yankee version of Karl, but still you’d think that Comedy Central would have to think it worthwhile.

The photo captions are excellent.
In the interest of fairness I looked at her posting history on youtube to see if there was some brilliant political analysis being neglected. Her posting is almost entirely clips from Fox News and a handful of right-wing blogs tackling important issues like “why aren’t all these people at a Democratic event reciting the Pledge of Allegiance along with the minor celebrity who is doing the opening?” Before this rant her most viewed video was the non-political “Surveillance footage of the Miami Cannibal”(100k views), followed by “Two legs of the Triple Crown”(30k views). Most of her political postings had ~200-400 views. Given that’s in the margin of error for the number of viewers who probably saw it when it first aired on Fox News I’m not quite sure what she expected. Re-posting snippets of political pundits when there are entire channels of nothing but talking heads on 24/7 is unlikely to change things significantly more than those channels accomplish on their own.
It seems she learned how to do video capture off her DVR and that’s pretty much been her contribution to the political discourse. But, for some reason, she believes if her insightful focusing of the political debate had been shared more it would have changed the election results.
