A 23yo pulled a gun on a fellow student in Chemistry class, over being ratted-out to security.
Suspect escaped campus without firing, and was later arrested at his apartment.
This happened in a community college–most of us use “school” in reference to K-12.
While we’re being pedantic, the term literally means shooting at a school, but more figuratively implies a massacre, not a guy getting pissed off and doing a second-degree, heat of the moment type thing.
…& it wasn’t exactly averted. The alleged gunman either pulled out his gun or showed it to the other student, then put it away & left. If he intended to shoot, he changed his mind. More than likely, though, he was playing tough & macho (& stupid, especially stupid - it’s not like when you’re a student in a class they don’t know who you are or your address).
He’s out on $250m bail.
Those guys are such slackers!
