Sci-Fi channel promo spot. WTF?!

So I’m watching X-Files reruns on the SciFi Channel, and during a break, one of their “IF” self-promo spots comes on that depicts a stage magician. He holds a small dog up, lifts its tail, puckers up, places his lips on the dog’s asshole, and blows, whereupon the dog CGI’s out into a balloon animal.

Anybody seen this? WTF were they thinking? Is oldscratch in charge of advertising for the SciFi Channel these days?

Yeah, everytime I see that one I always think it was a very bad idea. Just when I think they finally realized it and took it off the air, it shows up again.

Gee, and I thought it was disgusting enough when dog owners kiss their pooches on the mouth… :eek:

I’ve long felt the Sci-Fi channel was crappy, but this just underscores that… in lurid red neon.
