Sci-Fi series ''Exposure''

Anyone watch this? I saw some of it for the first time Sunday, and I’m not sure what it was *about. Is every episode just a showcase of Lisa Marie’s bustline, with some Sci-Fi junk thrown in for good measure.

*Although I think it had to with “Planet of the Apes,” and some interviews with her beau, Tim Burton.

It’s on past our bedtime, but we taped it a few times, and it was really a mixed bag. There were a few shorts in each one that we really thought were cool, and some that didn’t catch our fancy at all. All the shorts are really “out there”, so I guess either they float your boat, or they just fall flat.

They have been a good way for short films to gain . . . exposure, but, unfortunately, only a handful of the films shown have been any good. Too many suffer from weak endings.

Lisa Marie’s narration seems incredibly stilted, like a grade school child reading aloud. When she intereviewed Tim Burton, it was like an entirely different person.

I miss Sci-Fi Buzz which used to come on the Sci-Fi channel a few years back. They’d have all sorts of information about sci-fi/fantasy movies, books, comics, and television. Ah, Sci-Fi Buzz how I miss ye.

Yeah, Sci-Fi Buzz ruled. It was cool to see some insight into the “industry” on TV.

Exposure presents short films in the SF genre. The host of the show varies from episode to episode. Many of the films are efforts by unknowns, but sometimes they show the early works of currently successful filmmakers.

Due to the nature of the show, the quality is uneven, but I enjoy the opportunity to see works that I otherwise would never be able to view. Did any of you see George Lucas in Love? LOL!

Sparteye, “George Lucas in Love” was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. I must admit, I never saw THAT ending coming!

I like this show, but I rarely remember to watch it. I do have at least a dozen unwatched episodes on tape I mean to watch someday… I can’t remember the title, but my favorite episode is the one in which a guy is dating a fairytale character and goes to her house for dinner.
