Just a little while ago, my husband handed me a package (it had actually arrived a few days ago–he just set it aside and forgot to tell me about it). It was a belated birthday gift, from Scotticher.
Enclosed was a lovely hand-made birthday card. Then the present. On the outside of the box (that was wrapped so prettily I almost didn’t want to disturb it) was a cute little rubber stamp. A five-pointed star, surrounded by small crescent moons. I do a little rubber stamping myself, and I’ve been searching for a stamp that I could use as my signature. Well, I think I have it now.
So, I open the box. There were two more gifts there. One was a set of hemostats. Scotti recommended these to me in my “Just Call Me Persephone McGyver” thread, but in fact, I hadn’t gotten around to getting some for myself. They really are handy for crafts.
The hemostats were inside of the most wonderful box I have ever seen. It is a small metal Spongebob Squarepants lunchbox. I. LOVE. THIS. BOX!!! Oh my Goddess, it is just wonderful!
Thank you so much, **Scotti. ** Thank you so very, very much.
And I’m taking the lunchbox to work with me, so my thieving children won’t get their grubby little mitts on it…
Add me to the chorus of voices. I didn’t think anyone could possibly “really” be as nice as Scotticher IRL but when I met her at SLODope last year, she was just as loving and caring and warm in person.
I can say exactly the same thing. However, I’d like to add that she is also sweet, considerate, and very thoughtful. Scotti, you just absolutely rock! No question about it!
Scotti is wonderful. After my ER visit during ChiDope weekend (damn migraines) she sent me flowers to cheer me up. And I have two homemade Scotticards sitting on my bookshelf at home.
