YEAH!!! Another Screamer down!!! Go Town!!!
You mean he can’t be the last vote on a person?
Also, apparently there’s still some anti-town forces out there.
It seems he’s saying in other setups, a priest role can’t hammer a player (ie if a player dies with a certain number of votes as opposed to a specific day ending time). I take the phrase “n this game, he simply couldn’t be elected leader” to mean that it doesn’t apply to this setup and his only limitation was that he couldn’t be leader.
Fewer than there were.
NETA: Agree with Diver, that seems to be what it means.
Yeah, I’d say we’re down to 1 whatever at this point, SK or scum.
Hope so! Last night’s single kill is all the more curious now… Both scum and SK targetting Ore seems extremely unlikely. Is it possible for scum to vote No kill? Are there really voluntary SKs?
If not, it would seem we have one remaining scum (although the color wouldn’t really apply anymore unless it’s a Model 1)… I wonder what’ll happen toNight.
Doesn’t seem THAT unlikely to me, if both groups knew that OneAndOnly wasn’t legit; OreDigger was the second-best target remaining and maybe both killers thought the other would target me.
Oh, and getting more thoughts down on what is probably my last Night: AllWalker strikes me as very likely to be Town partially because of the nature of the mistake he made in reading his PM; I think both a scum and a third party would be much more likely to at least consider that his power might protect him from a lynch, and ask the mods for clarification.
And I can’t wait to read the scum board for Day 6. Talk about a lucky day for Town; OaOW totally had us fooled and was on the edge of knocking out 2 Townies for the price of 1, and then we end up icing a scum instead.
Well obviously Scum couldn’t target OAOW. For a hypothetical SK NOT to target him, they’d have to have been pretty confident he represented no threat for that night. That should leave out me as a potential SK, because I could never have been sure of that given how OAOW was acting toward me the previous Day. The claimed vanillas (save Tom, who is confirmed by the Music Box) had nothing to fear (and would have known very well OAOW was lying, too boot); and a SK AllWalker may have taken that risk hoping a) Scum would take OAOW out, or b) he could get a mislynch the following Day based on OAOW’s survival. Which is what happened, although it wasn’t a mislynch.
As for Oredigger over Tom? If there ARE two killers I’d guess they each figured the other would be targeting OAOW or Tom, and hoped to avoid a double kill. Or my original speculation regarding the music box, given nobody in the entire game save Tom seems to have had the slightest clue how it worked.
Completely insane.
The Mods will kill me for this…
I think we may have another case of Peeker’s “a” vs. “the”:
We’ve seen:
1 “a Model 2”
1 “the Model 3”
1 “the Model 4”
2 “a model 5”
A flimsy deduction based on color alone (although I was right about the Teddy Bear and the Small Child) would tell us to expect another Model 2, i.e. RoleBlocker… Neither a bomb not a tough guy can be roleblocked so it’s normal that none of us have reported being blocked but there could still be a SK who WAS blocked last Night…
Good Lord, am I glad I switched my vote on Day 6. I think that was pretty much the saving grace for us.
I was hoping we’d win the game after OAOW kicked it, because it’s going to get hella hard now. FWIW, Town is going to be down its most vocal leader tomorrow–I don’t really see any way Tom makes it through the Night. And since he provides such good analysis (minus the case against me, of course, but I’m not entirely blameless on that front…), I’d hope we can have a very vocal night and get a game plan going for our next Day. Because if we don’t do things right, it’s gonna be our last.
We should have 2 more shots at it - I can’t imagine how there would still be 2 killers out there. And really it’s pretty simple. We’re down to either the one remaining member of a 3-member scum team or a serial killer;
If it’s two scum teams, I make the composition as Cat, Chronos, One vs. Jimmy, tilt, whoever. The last scum is unlikely to be AllWalker (would tilt have hidden with a teammate? Probably not) and almost certainly not Drain or Normal, so that leaves Guiri or Diver.
If it’s a serial killer, it’s unlikely to be any of Diver, Normal, or AllWalker, any of whom would have been put at serious risk by a legitimate role cop. Which leaves Guiri or Drain. And whatever you think of Drain’s play, she sure hasn’t avoided drawing attention to herself. (Plus I think Daphne also investigated her as vanilla).
I guess it could also be a single scum team with a role that gets a bonus kill if there are 3 or more scum still alive, but that also would point to Guiri or Diver.
(And for that matter, if there are 2 killers out there, we’ve basically lost anyway, though maybe a townie Normal could buy us an everybody-dies victory.)
Well then there must be just 1 scum left, likely a roleblocker, and it ain’t me for sure. Is that the end of the discussion?
Tom, we can still win with two killers left if they double-kill or if there is a crosskill. The former case yields
3-1-1 in the morning, which is a win if no mislynches thereafter (but we need to get it right twice). (3-1, then 2-1, then 2-0).
The latter case is
3-1 in the morning, which is a win if we get it right.
I’m having trouble reconciling six Scum and a SK (even with the Scum on different teams), so hopefully that’s not the case.
Pedescribe, what happens if the vote for leader is tied?
NETA: Stupid fever, ignore that “even on different teams” parenthetical. Six Scum on two teams, plus a serial killer, is not one of the options.
So anyway, as I see it: lynch the hell out of Guiri tomorrow; if he flips Town then either
(1) USCDiver is the last scum
or
(2) one of USC, AllWalker, or Normal is a Serial Killer and has nerves of steel; either having sussed out that OneAndOnly was scum (and there were indications: iffy choices of investigation targets, falling for Gryff’s trap earlier, proposing the blow-up-the-bomb scheme), or just taking the risk and hoping for a mislynch.
