Screwloose? Scrooloose?

Remind me: Is there a cartoon character named Screwloose or Scrooloose? Maybe with Donald Duck?

Do you mean “Gyro Gearloose”? Gyro Gearloose - Wikipedia

Gyro Gearloose?
There’s also a My Little Pony character named by fans. Screwball.

Gotta be!

My favorite Gyro Gearloose story is the one where Scrooge McDuck loses the combination to his money bin and its walls are so strong there is no Earthly way of breaking into it. So Gyro invents a mosquito-like spaceship to take them to the Moon where they can drill for superhard minerals.

Lo and behold, they find a gigantic meteorite buried under the lunar soil that’s so hard it breaks their drill bit! So they load it on board the spaceship and head back home.

Unfortunately, the meteorite is so dense and heavy their reentry is too fast and the ship starts burning up in the atmosphere. They have no choice but to jettison the meteorite, thinking that it too will burn up in the atmosphere.

Bad move! Not only does it **not **burn up, it’s headed straight for Duckburg, where …

it smashes into the money bin! When Scrooge and Gyro land in Duckburg, it’s raining money and people are shoveling it into wheelbarrows. Scrooge knows it’s his money because he recognizes a dime he acquired fifty years earlier. Ouch!

A character name search at IMDb returns an alien mosquito from TMNT.

Could be. But I came to the name secondhand.

AFAIK, Scrooloose was that face-painted weirdo in the plane-crash children’s tribe in “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome”.

Count Screwloose of Tooloose, by the great Milt Gross.
