SCRUBS 10 February 2009 episodes (open spoilers)

The lack of a Scrubs thread made me weep bitter, bitter tears. I thought about swearing revenge on all you guys but of course I don’t do that anymore. So instead I’m starting one!

Last night was…interesting. Zach Braff did not appear (except as a voice on Eliot’s phone) in the first, which makes sense as all the leads are supposed to be sitting 2 episodes out this year; and though he appeared in the second, he was not as central as normal, and it was very light on his voice-over narration. I found this quite disconcerting. Usually JD-light episodes are told from someone else’s point of view, but that was not the case here, and the lack was very telling, as there was a marked lack of cohesion.

But both episodes were funny. I particularly enjoyed the two female interns’ interplay, even though I saw their kiss coming a mile away. (They were playing JD & Turk in a skit, didn’t have time to learn their lines, and thus had to improvise their mockery.)

And the Gooch is very cute.

Anybody else care to weigh in?

I like the new female interns.

Joe is turning out to be fantastic. Sunny Day and the other blond one are becoming very entertaining to watch. The show is moving in a good direction. Shame it has to end soon, but at least it will end with a decent episode.

The new blonde intern is a babe.

Jo is such a hoot. I’m really enjoying the interns.

Why is each actor sitting out two episodes? Is that to save on money?

I liked Carla messing with Janitor’s head…it’s about time!

Jo is now my favorite character. I’d totally watch the Jo Show. Her bit about “fatties” last night had me rolling.

I keep mistaking Sunny Day for Fun Size. They’re fairly similar in temperament and voice, and even in looks.

Is “Fun Size” the one who manipulates others into doing her work? To whom Carla gave the warning?

Because Sunny seems quite distinct from her. If they do continue the show with the new interns and, say, Cox, Ted, & a few others, I wouldn’t mind it being basically the Sunny & Jo show. They have an interesting interplay, and I could see them becoming friends entirely against Jo’s better judgment.

Fun Size is Snoop Dog Resident’s girlfriend. She talks in a high squeaky voice because talking in a normal register hurts her throat.

Ah, yes, I recall her now.

Good episodes, but not the best of the season. I’m definitely still enjoying it more than the last few seasons.

And I miss Aziz Ansari’s character, but I think I’m the only one.

I also thought it was interesting that they had interns doing a sketch with Dr. Wen in it, even though we haven’t seen Dr. Wen on the show for some time now.

And I saw “Gooch” at a comedy show last night. Singing in a duo called Garfunkel and Oates. Google them.

I like the new episodes, but I miss Doug. :frowning:

You’re not.

Yeah, and the Todd has barely appeared.

Anyone else scared that Gooch and Ted will break-up?

I love me some underdog stories and Ted is just the epitome…Come on Scrubs writers…give Ted his prize!!

I find her very annoying. A fucking ukulele? Give me a break.

Yeah, but “don’t get out the vacuum” made it all worth it. :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought both episodes were solid- this season has been much better than last season… and I also am glad that it seems they’ll be ending on an up note- and not that weird ass ending from last year.

I like Gooch- and I’m really glad Ted has a girlfriend. Her song for Turk was great.

Also, “All that cycling has really done a number on my sperm. They have no tails. They just roll arund from place to place.” HAHAHAHA…

I like Gooch a lot and love the songs. That said, she looks like a Muppet.

The Gooch is both cute and funny looking at the same time. I find that combo charming though for some reason.

Can someone explain why Dr. Kelso gets free muffins for life? I am fairly new to the show and I have only seen a scattering of episodes in syndication, maybe 30 or so and then all of this years.

There was a contest in the faux-Starbucks in the hospital’s lobby which he won. Estimating the number of coffee beans in a jar or some such.
