Right after this happened one of the producers was quoted in TV Guide or Entertainment Weekly or some such as saying they didn’t want JD and Eliot to get together, so this was their solution. A breakup so bad they’d never get back together. Even though all of the fans wanted them to stay together.
So I looked at the end of this year as the producers finally making amends for that very monumental screwup from before.
Funny. I consider them getting back together a monumental screw-up. JD only wants her when he doesn’t have her, and Eliot is six kinds of crazy and has only found a few guys willing to deal with that.
