Scum mafia: On Cecil pond [Game Over]

I do not know if Scuba is Scum or not.

Scum Do.

Scum would NOT vote for Scuba, because as you say, his days are numbered. They would be all to eager to vote for someone else, and let Chronos take care of the rest.

Then again, if Scuba is scum, they would also not vote for him.

I do not have a better place for my vote currently, I want to give Story benefit of the doubt. I don’t want to vote for anyone else. I could be wrong on my vote, I could be wrong on any other vote.

Rather than gamble, why can’t I place a vote on someone who probably will not get lynched in the short term?
**
Why is it scummy of me to NOT be the deciding vote for someone ? **

You said that Vig never counter claim. I offered a case where a Vig did counter claim. I don’t see how it is a different situation there.

If you want to add on more to the specifics of the rest of the game…

And how did we win that game again Slit? Didn’t Peeker shoot that final night that handed us the win?

Obviously he wasn’t role blocked all of the time.

We didn’t block him the whole time, you’re right. And his kill did win the game for us–he was a pretty huge liability for town.

I have scant moments, but: you obviously know Scuba Ben won’t be lynched. The point is not to get him lynched as you’ve stated here, but to avoid being a decisive vote. Avoiding being decisive if you honestly think neither candidate is good is not scummy – picking an absent, soon-to-be-modkilled candidate who can’t fight back does strike me as scummy.

Natlaw :

My vote on Scuba is based on if he is Subbed.

If a player is subbed, the new subbing in player should not get a blank slate. The actions of the prior player are still valid with respect to the role they played.

If X is scum, and is subbed out for Y, When Y comes into play he is every bit as scummy as X was.

I believe Scuba is scum, I voted for him because I do not believe currently that anyone else is more scummy.

This is what I mean by “Safe”.

Which, if you go back to the original reason why Meeko brought up peeker in the first place, leads me to say that nobody should be using peeker as a guideline for how to play a good Town role, ever. No offense, peeker, but he can tend to be a huge distraction and is almost always an early mislynch, and the one time when he wasn’t, he managed to pick off Townies every time we let him kill someone.

Why not if he’s might be mod-killed anyway? But you seem to be voting for him just to have a vote, no other reason.

Because we don’t was scum to happily not vote and make the vote record useless where only town vote.

Wasn’t he blocked before he claimed? If yes, then he might not have been able to kill, thus had to claim. But typically, it better not claim and kill - because you would have a sure target and don’t have to reveal yourself to scum.

Meeko, why do you think Scuba is scum?
If you feel so strongly this way, why is this fact only coming to light NOW?

I will back a Meeko lynch if others agree.

I do not get this. A similar situation came up in LOST where people were on me for not voting for someone who ended up being Town.

**
Are you suggesting that voting for town is pro town*? **

*I don’t know if Scuba or Story are town or not. I am trying to make a general point here.

Further, I fail to see how voting for someone who as of right now will not get lynched can be considered Scummy.

If my vote broke a tie, that is lightyears. LIGHT YEARS more scummy than voting for someone that is an also ran.

Meeko, you are overly concerned with what will make you look scummy.

It’s not :

Um. That was Yesterday right?

My play involvement is heavily dependent on my workload–when I was in your game, I was working at a different job and as an assistant, now I’m the only guy in my department here so it comes and goes and right now it’s going hard. =P

On Storyteller: fair enough. That’s a pretty crucial disadvantage for any number of reasons, primarily in “lack of effectiveness feedback” and “morale boost from scum deaths”. Benefit of the doubt for now.

It seems like you might choose to announce who you’re going to kill when you do decide to utilize your powers, if only so we have some confirmation of your role.

This last bit of stuff with Meeko is kinda odd. But only in the sense that it’s closer to his old playstyle. Slow down a bit there, compadre.

Oh sorry. I forgot that players alignment changes at dawn.

I disagree. The lack of information about a dead body will confirm without having to preempt the reveal.

No. The point is you didn’t voice these concerns at all Today, and are only going back to it at the 11th hour.

I would love nothing more than to do so. The way I am playing right now is not helpping anyone, agreed.

But, it does take two to tango. [Not to you personally Z]

If somoene can show me how we all got here, I would love for that to happen.

I wanted information on Story, I got it, and I acted on it. I don’t see how that got us here.

Because I don’t have the time [as you point out] to make a case for anyone else.

You have voted for a host of people:
6: Meeko – Spawn (715), KellyCriterion (824-874), fluiddruid (987-1009), TexCat (1009-1013), storyteller (1013)

Why is Scuba only suddenly coming up now?

The Spawn votes fluiddruid and Oredigger

Final vote total:
Spawn 15
fluiddruid 6
storyteller0910 4
KellyCriterion 2
Mahaloth 3
Scuba Ben 1
Meeko 1

Again, the denizens of the Pond agreed on killing the Spawn, and though consensus was not as strong as last year, the decision was still unambiguous. As before, the Spawn made no attempt to defend itself, and was no match for the combined efforts of the Pond.

A Spawn is dead

But then the consensus broke down. It was a very close thing, but the Spawn had already started attacking fluiddruid before it was lysed, and that ended up deciding matters: It would be the already-weakened fluiddruid that would die. Her organelles showed a familiar pattern: She looked just like the late peekercpa, on the inside.

fluiddruid, a Plankton, is dead

It is now Winter 2. Summer 3 will begin in 48 hours, on Saturday at 1:00 MST. There are currently no Spawn in the Pond. Strategy discussion should be put on hold.
Also, Scuba Ben has not posted for the entire Summer, and so is removed from the game. He will be replaced by Red Skeezix. Welcome, Red.
