Dang…
That was a complete clusterlove. I’ll have a triple bourbon, and a rock to bang my head against.
Welcome to the game Red, thanks for subbing in.
Bugger. Well, I guess it’s time to drink until I forget.
Welcome Red. Have you ever played before?
For me, Winter could not come at a better time. It would appear I need some time away from the game, and well, looks like it is being offered for 48 hours.
Yeah, this will be my 8th or 9th game. Is freudian running the bar? If so I’ll need a golden shower to get through this work day.
Sorry Fluid. Thanks for helping out, Red.
You betcha! And I’ve got a Pond Breeze with your name on. ::scoops up pond sludge, throws in a paper parasol and a paper gator, and drops in alcohol swab::
I thought I had more time to vote :(. Still was undecided.
Goodbye, cruel world!
Sweet, I’m guessing you mainly play over on Idle’s board then I don’t think I’ve seen you around here.
Yeah, I play on Idle and Giraffe. I’ve only played in one on this board. The Colorless that just ended. I usually end up missing the signups here because they go so fast. Things are very different here.
Balls. Tough break, fluid. Welcome Red.
So, whose turn is it for a natural disaster this Winter? It’s a bit chilly here, but I don’t think that really counts.
You mean, Freudian’s drinks don’t count as a natural disaster?
Natural’s got nothing to do with it.
Huh. Sorry, fluid.
Oh, hey, Red.
What are the main differences in your opinion?
Bollocks.
Players and playstyles mostly. The games are much more subdued on Idle, there’s an underlying assumption that everyone is playing at the top of their game, and there’s less new blood so everyone is a lot cagier, but you do get a chance to see some balls out type plays. Plus some odd twists, my first game on idle everyone got to pick their own color role and it was out in the public (I was Roland from the Dark Tower). Natlaw co-modded that one, and Hoopy Frood had to talk like Yoda the whole time.
Giraffe has it’s own set of memes, and certain activities will get you lynched pretty quick there, they have a real strong urge to lynch the loud, so when I play there I try to match speed with everyone else, otherwise they just lynch you.
Huh. I notice no discernible cultural differences in the games (aside from just the different mechanics of using the board software) between here, Idle’s boards, and Giraffe. But I’ve been known to be oblivious from time to time.
Oh, you guys joke, but I know you love your old pal Freudian’s drinks. I’ve been experimenting all day with a delicate infusion of what I like to call cocktail hour and goulash. Now come git it, kids!
Huh. I actually like goulash. Could I get one virgin?
