SD Poll# 2: What is your preffered caffiene intake method?

Being dopes seems to imply many things, and I am willing to bet that intake of caffiene is one of them…

SO! What is your prefered method of caffiene intake? And do be specific, I don’t want to sit there counting ‘coffee… coffee… soda… coffee… enema… wait, what? Oh man this should be in the Pitt, ewww… coffee… soda…’

although that is how I will count up all the responses… but what I’m looking for is the specifics… if you like a mocha blast with extra syrup, say so…

Who knows, maybe we’ll get some new ideas for how to get awake, and stay that way…

Diet Pepsi. I drink 5 cans a day…at the very least.

Coffee. For some reason (necessity, I guess), I’ve developed a taste for old, stale coffee. The combination of concentrated caffiene and a flavor bitter enough to cause facial spasms is just the trick for staying awake at work.

First thing in the morning: caffè latte
Rest of morning: caffè macchiato caldo
Afternoon and early evening: long black
Mid to late evening: short black

Either Mountain Dew or iced tea. Sometimes, Diet Dr. Pepper. It tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper, you know!

Soda (cola or diet cola) or iced tea. Sometimes chocolate. Can’t drink coffee; makes my stomach do a China Syndrome.

It can be somewhat tricky to get the I.V. hooked up in the early hours when one hasn’t had enough sleep but once this small feat has been accomplished one can get a good dose of coffee with double cream flowing through one’s veins.

Diet Mt. Dew (regular is too sweet), at least 48 ounces a day.

Coffee from 4:30 AM to 6:15(when I leave for work) Then Diet coke-at least 4 cans a day. If I’m really feeling extravagant, Baskin Robbins Cappacino(sp? I’m not really awake yet) Blast.

Total caffeine addict. Horrible headaches if I don’t get enough. sigh

Hot strong coffee. Yummy.

Black coffee. Diet Coke. Diet root beer. Iced tea.

Normal mornings : Double Espresso
Drunken mornings: Lucozade
Evenings : Tea
Other times : Swill from coffee trolley/Coke

Coffee - cream & sugar with a sprinkle of cinnamon
Tea - cream & sugar
Diet Coke by the truckload
Diet Pepsi if I’m desperate

I usually start out w/ either coffee or tea and then after 4 or 5 cups I’ll switch over to Diet Coke and drink that until I go to bed. Hmmm. I think I might have just figured out why I have so much trouble sleeping.

surprise coffee drinks. (yes i admit, i am one of those annoying ‘surprise me’ people)

i ask the coffee people to make me any drink or combination of drinks they want, as long as it isn’t nasty, has the caffeine equivalent of four expresso shots, and is topped off with sprinkles.

since that runs me four dollars a pop, though, i have to round out my caffeine needs with coke and mountain dew, with the occasional no-doz supplement.

I smoke it out of a neat contraption: a broken light bulb and a tampon applicator taped together.

OH! You said caffeine. Caffeine. Right. I drink coffee. Espresso with milk and chocolate. Sorry that I misinterpreted your post; I pulled an all-nighter studying medieval music (not by choice; midterms).

Where did I put those damn light bulbs, anyway?

Coffee. Black coffee. 8 cups (in a 12-cup pot) made with 5 scoops of freshly-ground columbian beans. Then another 2 or 3 cups of the snack-bar crap at school.

Coffee in the morning, specifically the better part of a pot of Equal Exchange’s Cafe Nica Full City Roast. With skim milk.

Black tea in the afternoon.
