About 7 cans of Diet Coke a day.
I blame it on my mother.

I like cola: sugar, fizz, buzz. Yah. Never liked Mt. Dew. Don’t know why.
I like coffee. Cafe Latte. Fakuchino (you know, the stuff you get out of a machine in convenience stores). Out of the office pot. Whatever. I’m particularly entranced by those flavored non-dairy creamers. Convenient. Sugary. Mmm.
I like tea. My friend from India brought me back a small quantity of very good Darjeeling, and I fear that will never be able to tolerate a pedestrian orange pekoe again. It’s the champagne of teas, you know. Darjeeling, I mean.
Sadly, I’ve found I can no longer drink anything containing the Big C after 6 PM, or I can’t sleep. This was never an issue when I was an undergrad, but now I am old and sleep is very very precious to me.
Ordinarily: Coca-cola classic. When I really need a jolt, I drink Jolt. No, actually, I get 22oz of regular coffee from 7Eleven, add five french vanilla creamers, one milk chocolate creamer, and six packets of regular sugar. I’m not happy until the spoon stands upright.
I load it into a big hypodermic needle and shoot it directly into my heart.
