I have my postcards ready and I am off to the Post Office right now.
Just got my first one today, a Rembrandt pic from the Rijksmuseum, from Labtrash. Thanks!
I also got a rembrandt card today from Labtrash! Mine are going in the mail tomorrow (all stamped and ready to go!)
I got one from Lsura yesterday. Snow in Decatur. Looks peaceful.
Too peaceful.
I got my first one, a baseball-themed card from Elendil’s Heir today! Yay!
Got my bonus from Northern Piper - gorgeous photo of the Aurora. I once saw it myself from a little town near Buffalo, NY, dead of winter, dead of night.
Also got one from Anaamika with a photo of what must be baby zebras! They have head fuzz. Adorable.
Mine are purchased, written, addressed, stamped, and in the mailbox. Two US and one foreign.
Thanks for all of your hard work,** Northern Piper**. I love the Postcard Exchanges.
Got a nice postcard of a peaceful (too peaceful?) cafe in Decatur from Lsura.
First one.
Sent my postcards Thursday, after going to the post office to buy a stamp for the overseas card.
I went ahead and deleted the PMs with addresses as well; if i sign up for another exchange i will be happy to send my info again.
**Aurora australis **got home this evening to find a bonus card from Aurora borealis. Thanks muchly.
And I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a large postage stamp. Truly titanic.
Woohoo !
got my 2nd & 3rd cards today !
The coast of Maine from Atomic Mama
and
Old Timey suit & hat-wearin’ baseball watchin’ from Elendil’s Heir
That’s all three for me.
Thanks everyone !
Two cards in my box today. One from silenus with a neat stamp besides the aloha stamp for postage. Another from needscoffee. Both mention Hawaii in their note. Perhaps a visit in the future will be in their plans.
Two postcards received! One from Elendil’s Heir with a photo of an old-time baseball team, the other a “bonus” card from Northern Piper with a lovely aurora borealis and a HUMONGOUS stamp Thanks!!!
Oh, and, Elendil’s Heir, I have never watched a baseball game (although there are quite a few fans here in the Netherlands, given the recent victory of the Dutch baseball team in the world championship).
I hope my cards reach their destinations soon!
Today (maybe yesterday since I didn’t check the mail then) I got a card depicting the High Country Seasons from Cunctator, who has absolutely beautiful penmanship by the way. I feel the need to say this to all those who got one from me: I apologize for my chicken scratch.
Thanks!
If you ever come to the U.S., you must allow me to take you to a baseball game.
I liked the card when I saw it in the shop at the ski fields. Its dual theme encapsulated both my winter and your summer.
And as for the penmanship - thanks for the compliment. When it’s drilled into you in primary school, it stays for ever.

You’re welcome. I’m glad to hear that it made its voyage safely, unlike it’s namesake.
Put my cards in the box for tomorrow! I had bought some postcards when we stayed at a hotel, but then I couldn’t find them anywhere. This morning, my husband was cleaning in the basement and found them when he was putting the suitcases away. Hurray!
I’ll be mailing my cards tomorrow.
I got a lovely pic of caribou, courtesy of a bonus from Northern Piper. Thank you!
When I went to the Toronto Zoo, in the middle of the day there was a torrential downpour, so we stopped to have lunch and wait it out. As we ate, and waited, the sun came out. We were overlooking this giant field in which lived zebras and ostriches. There was a baby zebra.
This baby zebra was fascinated by one of the ostriches. We watched as he would prance up to the ostrich, all sideways and playful, and prance around it, until it would get annoyed and kind of dart towards the zebra or even snap at it. RUN! The zebra would run back to its mama and hide behind her. Then, after a few moments, back to teasing the ostrich again.
It was adorable, and what was even better was the ostrich never really bit the zebra or anything - just showed its displeasure - and the zebra just kept on playing and playing. The ostrich reminded me of a childless person, kind of sighing, and going “Kids…”
Needless to say, I like baby zebras.
