As a frequent whiner about the ads here, and recently gifted with membership (so no more ads for a while, yay!)…

I just thought I ought to mention that the last time I noticed the ads, they were all normal, well-behaved ads from companies I wasn’t embarrassed to have on my screen. A clothing company, an insurance company, a car company – and all ones I’ve heard of, in ads that stayed at the bottom of the screen and didn’t cause any obvious problems.

So, thanks to whoever cleaned up the ads. They used to be really awful, and now they are just ads. Huge improvement.

Based on this, I’ve turned off my ad blocker for this site. I know, I know, I’m a hero.

yeah only bogus ad I get is a convegex clarity (or something like that) where trump and Carson declare it to be the best memory pill serum etc

most sdmb ads are from sites ive been to for xmas shopping like kmart ebay and amazon
