After that big TD catch by Celek, I would say that Jules is the favorite at this point. The same play looks to have sealed my auction league win so I can’t feel too bad about it.
Huh… I’m kinda surprised you thought your prediction was even remotely correct. Certainly your analysis of my WR picks was abysmally and terribly wrong (3 out of 4 were home runs). And at 8-5, yet having the highest score in the league by an entire game’s margin, you’d think that would indicate my record was a little flukey (which was obviously the case considering what I said in post 391). I never expected to have the highest scoring team, though, and I certainly wouldn’t have predicted it given my draft, so in a way the team outperformed.
I definitely succeeded because of working the wire and making positive trades, though (Boldin was a key trade aquisition, and Celek and Charles off the wire is probably what won the league). Of course, can you say I drafted poorly when I drafted the #3 overall QB and RB and the #2 overall WR? Interesting team, I have to say. Thanks for posting the initial review and for your follow up! I’ll see if I can find the time to do a recap of my own predictions!
Well, an 8-5 finish would unscientifically translate to a B grade. I gave you a B-, so you slightly outperformed my projection. I wasn’t really evaluating my player projections, but I found it interesting that your final WR corp completely differs from what you started with. I was half joking by saying I got it right, but that those guys aren’t on your team any more is a little weird considering.
Technically the championship game is still ongoing, but we’d have to have a record breaking field goal game for Isotopes to pull it out (along with nothing from Adrian Peterson). Quentin’s Jammers is your 2009 league champion.

I just noticed we mirrored each other’s performances in the all-pro and auction leagues. Both 12 man leagues, you came in 1st here and 5th there, and I came in 1st there and 5th here.
Between me, you, and RNATB we’ve been pretty heavily dominating the various SDMB leagues over the last few years. Next year if practical I want to try to work in RNATB and Varlos into this league, either by having people who fail to make it next year or by expanding the league to 14. Of course that’s something to discuss next year.
