Thanks to Munch for working the schedules. I feel kinda weird about it. Only playing people from 2 divisions (and most of the games your own division) somehow makes this league seem smaller. On the other hand, if you’re going to have divisions, I guess you should give them importance.
Rushed home to make the draft tonight then found out I was looking at the wrong post! Ah well, at least I didn’t miss it…

Alright, I’ve been running voice chat for the drafts of the other leagues, it makes it easier/more natural to talk during the draft. Instructions:
Alright, I have a mumble server for voice chat which makes the draft a little more interesting. Preferably you have a microphone and can talk, but even if not, you can listen in on the discussion. It’s free and easy to set up. You can download it here.
There’s one stupid glitch sometimes when a first person logs into a server - they might be deafened (can’t hear others talk) - this is easily fixed by just tapping the push to talk button you set during the setup wizard. Even if you don’t have a mic, just set a button to that and then tap it once and it’ll work.
Anyway, run the setup wizard, create a new server, and enter this. Remove the slashes from the server name, I’m just putting those in to throw off bots. Go to the server menu and click add new. Name it SDMB or whatever you want - the label is just for reference.

User name - whatever your name here is.
Anyway, we can still use text chat during the draft but I find it fun to be able to talk more naturally with other people as the draft goes down. It’ll only take a minute to set up.
There are also android/iOS clients.
I had 2 last minute cancellations, working on people who said they’d be interested in subbing, but I can’t confirm yet that they’re still around to sub. Does anyone want to be a last minute recruit in the league, or have a friend who might be?
I really hope that doesn’t fuck over the schedule. Who were those two managers, by the way?
I think the schedule will break if we have a team drop. I’ll try to see if there’s a way around it. Sorry.
Boozahol squid says he has to work late. I sent a pm asking how late and if he could pre-value top guys and make it a bit late.
The mad hermit sounds like he may be around today but doesn’t want to manage a team this year. I PMed him if he would be willing to volunteer to draft a team and then I will just manage it buy projections week to week as commish. Not ideal but better than being stuck 18 or 19 handed.
Spiritus Mundi volunteered to replace one of them but I won’t know who to replace for sure unless they get back to me. Or if we get a second replacement we can just do both.
Can you guys an your friends to see if anyone is interested?
Gah!!! Well, the good news is that I can still redo the schedule if we get new managers, and that it doesn’t take all that long to do so. I’ve copied the current ones down, so they’ll remain the same.

Boozahol says he can be there around 6 PST which is barely late so he’s OK. I cited spiritus to replace hermits which would not break the schedule but just change owners but he might be dick with the name. Can you rename you’re team street you’ve joined the league?

I think Boozahol is comfortable showing up 15 minutes late but i PMed him to confirm he still wants to even with a replacement available. But if you’re around chitwood I’ll have you on standby.
Does anyone know what the latest point is that you can replace an owner before a draft? I think if you dip a team less than an hour before the draft it’ll cancel due to insufficient teams but I winner if you can do owner replacement up until the last minute since it doesn’t invalidate the league. I wonder if we should Terry that in the event of a no show.
