I agree that anyone new needs to be sure they’re really dedicated, because this league requires serious commitment.
I’ll set the draft order based on the emails you guys sent me at 4PM CDT. If our new guy signs up before then, cool, if not we go with 16.

if the 17th team signs up by that time, I think we should wait and try to get an 18th… otherwise I am fine with the whole random plan, and wait for next Thursday with quite the anticipation.
In my defense, I didn’t think the league would be set up until much closer to the draft date, so I had a note on my outlook calendar to remind me today to check the thread so I could join.
I signed up, so thanks to Omniscient and brianjedi! I plan on spending time on this (I love fantasy sports), so you guys don’t have to worry about me.

Kiros, I’m all for adding a 18th team, but since there’s no element of head-to-head competition in this, there’s no real need to force symmetry. I think we’re all ready to get this going. Honestly I think giving everyone the weekend to work on their draft prep knowing the final order is valuable, especially for me.
In short, if we get #18 by 4PM, great, if not, I’m going to close the league and set the draft order then.
brianjedi and Munch, sorry to be a burden guys, but just in case, would you both send me conditional 18 teams random lists too. This was I can put it all together at 4PM and we can head into teh weekend all pumped and chomping at the bit.

Just saw the post on the league page…got it.
I guess we’ll see what we can do. I’m more than willing to allow a replacement player. Though if we do I’ll probably redo the draft order. I don’t quite post often enough here to know who’d be interested in joining up so I’m going to need your guy’s help finding someone suitable.
If we don’t find anyone, it’s no big deal. I have no problem just cutting the team and going with 17. Like I said before, having an even number of teams isn’t really important.
Could someone tell me what time (real specific-like, including timezone and whether it’s standard or daylight time) the draft is?
The league web page tells me that it’s at 5:00 AM CEST (Central Europe Standard Time), but we’ve just switched to daylight saving time, so I don’t know whether I’m coming or going anymore.
Well, if your Yahoo is set to accurately reflect what timezone you’re in it should be fine. Just use the add to my calendar feature, it’ll do the conversion for you. The Draft is at 9PM Central Daylight Time (US). This is GMT-6. You are GMT+2 in the summer.
That makes it a time difference of 8 hours. According to the conversion tool found here it’ll be at 5:00 A.M CET.
We’ll obviously be talking it up here leading up to time (usually with a T-minus), so I don’t expect you ta have trouble knowing whne it is.
