I changed the 9:00am to 3/27 Sat. Noon EST.
For the most part I’m available any time. Evenings are best for me (I’m in the Mountain Time Zone), but I pretty much have flex hours at work, so I could take an hour or two in the middle of the day to do a draft without much difficulty.

rackensack, would you like commission duty? I really don’t want it, and I think the bottom portion of the standings should be in charge each year (the boobie prize).
I will, if no one else wants to. My problem is that I’m likely to be on the road, with occasionally limited net access, so trade approvals, etc., may have to run their normal course instead of getting approved right away. Weirddave volunteered as commish back on my birthday, so let’s see what he says.
I was thinking that I’d like to try fantasy baseball this year…
but I’ve never done it before, so I have no idea how it works - still, I’d like to give it a try.
Would it be ok for me to join in? Where can I go and read information? What do I do next? (At least you’d know that if I were in your league, you wouldn’t come in dead last - I’m sure there’s a learning curve somewhere.)
Absolutely, amarinth! Just let us know when you’d be available for a draft - we like to do it live; that’s where all the fun is. Whoever ends up commishing will post the sign-up info once we get a good handle on people’s availabilities.

Are you familiar with fantasy games in general? Not too much deviance, other than the fact that you can change rosters daily. I was brand new to fantasy baseball last year, and had been on a general baseball hiatus since the last strike. I was unfamiliar with the players, teams and these newfangles stats (WHIP, OPS, Holds, etc.). I ended up doing very well, just by being active in the league and paying attention to the game - which was my ultimate goal in joining.
Here’s the sign-up info for one of the leagues (the 3:45pm Wed. draft). I doubt that time slot will be used, and this league deleted, so if anyone wants to poke around, please feel free to do so:

Munch, I’m good for any of those draft times that you posted.
Just wanted to let those of you in charge of my availability. Any time from Thursday through Sunday is good for me. Tuesday and Wednesday are completely not possible. And Monday, early morning or at night, just not in the middle of the day.
Here’s hoping for a good season.

For some reason, my parents have decided to visit me the weekend of March 26-28. And my old college roommate is coming to town March 17-21 for his bachelor’s party.
I’ve set the draft for 3/25 6:00pm EST. That’s a Thursday. For the west coasters, we can move that time up a couple hours if 3:00 isn’t good for you.
Again, if there’s a more convenient time, or if this time is no good, please speak up. We have plenty of time to hammer down an ideal draft time, but it’s best to be able to plan ahead.
That time’s as likely as any other to work for me. The later in the day/evening the better for me, generally speaking. I’ll be on EST through 3/8, CST during the week from 3/8 – 3/19 (EST on weekends), EST from 3/20 – 3/29. There’s a chance I’ll be on the west coast the last week of March, but I suspect we’ll have done the draft by then. Anytime after 6 pm local time weekdays I can generally be available, unless I happen to be on a plane (as I will be on 3/11 and 3/19 – there’s probably no time those days that I could do it). I’ll know better after today what my day’s gonna be like on 3/25, but 6 is probably the earliest I could start – my preference would be for later, even if it’s only an hour or so (I’ll need to wrap up at a customer site and get to the hotel and get connected).
The current time slot plan is good for me, later on that day would work as well.

It looks like there’s a new feature on Yahoo leagues that allows you to send out an e-mail to the whole league, so make sure that your e-mail addys are active (if you want notification). I’m not sure if it sends out e-mails to people with hidden addresses.
Are there plans to start any other leagues? I’m going to be travelling in late March, and while I’d most likely be able to log in from my hotel in the evenings, I’d definitely be able to make a draft if it were to occur before, oh, about the 19th of March. If anyone is planning on making another league, I’ll join theirs, otherwise, I’ll join Munch’s and try to work my schedule around the draft.

If anyone out there can’t get into Munch’s league, I have one that really needs teams to fill it out. The max is 12 teams, but we have only three right now.
It’s a casual league, scored Rotisserie style. (Also, I kept all of the default settings for the scoring.)
