I actually considered that, but I didn’t want to give you a big(ger) head.
Big(ger(est))
If I can just get Josh Allen to play in some kind of surprise Monday night game I’ve got a shot here.
Gene Steretore, broadcast ref consultant, said that because 2 Ravens jumped over the offensive right side of line (contacting Browns players in the process), and then the left guard moved in response, the fact that he moved and was 1.5 players down the line from the Ravens players who encroached, then it somehow retroactively becomes a Browns false start, what in the fuck.
That is the first time I’ve ever heard that interpretation.
Oh woops I meant to post that to the week 7 thread.
Doing better than expected this week against Jules, still sitting around 50/50. If you would’ve told me before this week Seattle put up 37 points, I would definitely expect more than 14 points out of Geno Smith and 8 out of Tyler Lockett, so that’s surprising that I’m surviving in spite of that. Dallas D was a heavy hitter - they’ve been really good these last two years. I remember picking them up for scraps a few years ago, one of the few defenses on the waiver wire. The life of dynasty defenses is interesting.
I’m gonna stand pat on Kyle PItts because he just turned 22 a couple of weeks ago and tight ends are slow to develop, but man what a disappointing season for him so far.
It’s gonna be Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle for Jules against my 10ish point lead, Rhamondre Stevenson and David Montgomery.
Yeah, that’s not going to do it. Just about 50 points under my projection and about 45 points less than my average weekly score. Totally makes sense. It will never cease to amaze me that I could hand select my starting roster and yet somehow end up with multiple weeks where my entire team fails to score a single touchdown all at once.
At the risk of sending EllisDee into paroxysms of orgasmic glee, I must, once again, say Fuck Fantasy Football. It appears that my #1 pick, and #6 overall RB Breece Hall has torn his ACL and is out for the year. He joins Javonte Williams and Reshaad Penny on my IR.
This fucking sucks.
No I feel you this time. Hollywood Brown went down for me, and I kind of need Breece Hall to be healthy for the Jets in real life so I’m feeling that loss too.
(Holy shit that Jets game was painful to watch yesterday.)
Related, how are we all feeling about the number of IR slots? I currently have three guys on IR and I don’t feel like I’m “getting away with” anything.
So being in the thick of it now, what do we really think about having so many IR slots?
For me personally, two slots is starting to feel unacceptably small, and three slots is starting to feel like a hard minimum. Before the season I would have said two slots ideally, but three would be fine as a compromise. So my attitudes are definitely shifting. Anyone else?
As we know, head to head win record is purely a result of fantasy skill. And so your champion Exploding Pancakes is the last undefeated team in our league this season.
With Bellinger, Joshua Kelley and Breece Hall going on IR this weekend, I need 7 IR spots.
Sorry, I forgot Mike Williams will be out for weeks with a high ankle sprain too, so I need 8 IR slots.

After a rocky start, Mundi’s stock is rising.
I believe this is the halfway point: 7 games down, 7 to go, then the playoffs. I guess technically that means I’m not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, but sheesh, it’s not looking great. In both the division and the wildcard races, my lowly 3-4 needs to overtake a 6-1. That’s a lot of ground to cover in 7 games.
At least I still have a chance. Poor RNATB is just getting murdered in the PA column.
I went from basically no one hurt to having 4 starters down since last week.
Sucks.

This is another dynasty win for RNATB, but a win-now move for me. I’ve watched a few teams in this league suffer a rash of injuries suddenly, and I’m especially susceptible with my RB group being older. I need more depth, just in case Cordarrelle Patterson doesn’t come back. Plus, there’s a chance Hunt is traded in the next couple days, and that could make him a league winner if he ends up in the right spot. For the price of my 2nd rounder this year, that upside is worth it. Otherwise, he’s a reasonable emergency flex for me with proven, consistent production.
I’ve never had a true fire sale before because when I’ve had bad teams they didn’t have multiple players that anyone would want. This year I have a truly horrible record but my team is actually quite good; I’m according enough points to be a playoff team.
It was awful, but now that I’ve accepted it is really quite exciting. I may even wind up with the #1 pick without trying to tank.
I may be misunderstanding but isn’t having a firesale an aspect of tanking?
I say that to mean I wouldn’t consider your moves a firesale. I think in this league a firesale would be trading your team for draft-picks where you were then forced to start bottom-of-the-barrel players to field a team. All in the hopes of losing to get better draft position.
