SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY League: Year 15

Great pick. He will likely wind up as the long-term #2 in Tampa if they don’t come to a “until you retire” deal with Evans, because they can’t keep Evans and Godwin long term. He’s not huge, but he’s 6’, and he can outrun just about anyone.

Yeah - he’s drawn raves i. training camp and is penciked in at WR2 already. Plus you can’t teach 4.33. As a fan i hate the thought of Evans leaving, but it might be inevitable.

Evan Hull-RB IND

@Hamlet is up

I read this sentence and thought for sure you were going to take the guy I wanted.

Sean Tucker, RB, TB

More of a “Not a fan of Rachaad White” pick than anything else.

@SenorBeef is up, and I am done.

These have been some solid picks of late. I miss when you were all terrible at drafting and I could get all pros in the 3rd. We need to move the draft to May for me to have a chance

Well, shit, I definitely did not want to go 2 WRs with my first 3 picks but you guys have taken all the non- WRs I had my eye on. Give me a bit.

I thought hard about Tucker, too. But I think Palmer has better upside. I also thought there was a tiny chance Tucker would slide to round 4, but . . .

Well I think I have to:

3.11 Josh Downs, WR, IND

@PeteyPart2 is up.

3.01 RNATB - Rashee Rice, WR, KC
3.02 Omni - Cedric Tillman, WR, CLE
3.03 Retro - Will Levis, QB, TEN
3.04 Ellis - Puka Nacua, WR, LAR
3.05 Justin - Eric Gray, RB, NYG
3.06 Gaffer - Michael Mayer, TE, LV
3.07 dale - Israel Abanikanda, RB, NYJ
3.08 Mundi - Trey Palmer, WR, TB
3.09 dale - Evan Hull, RB, IND
3.10 Hamlet - Sean Tucker, RB, TB
3.11 Beef - Josh Downs, WR, IND
3.12 Peteys -

4.01 RNATB -
4.02 Omni -
4.03 Retro -
4.04 Ellis -
4.05 Justin -
4.06 Gaffer -
4.07 dale -
4.08 Mundi -
4.11 Beef -
4.12 Jules -

Josh Downs seems like he has all the signs of being NFL ready (breakout age, target share, production, route running, athletic profile, all that stuff) except size. Concerns he won’t beat press coverage in the NFL because of it. But he’s the consensus best value pick remaining in the draft at this point and he doesn’t have much in the way of competition, the Colts don’t even have enough WRs on their roster for him not to get significant playing time. The Colts offense is going to suck though, Richardson is going to get killed and not be able to get a pass off at any point during the season. But he was an irresistable value at the end of the third and I need a receiver named Josh on my roster.

Josh Gordon finished as WR #6 in yardage in the XFL this year. Make of that what you will.

3.12 Michael Wilson, WR, AZ

@Really_Not_All_That_Bright is up

There has been a pause…

Saturday night on a three-day holiday weekend. We’re still good on time.

We’re well ahead of where we need to be for time so I’m not too worried about it. If you guys feel strongly about skipping his pick after 12 hours (it was all daytime) I’m okay with that but I’m inclined to give it until the morning, say, 10am eastern before we move on to the next pick.

We should give him until morning. No need for the hammer now, I think.

I plan to sleep in tomorrow. So I probably won’t be jumping in to pick until midday tomorrow. If you want to set an unofficial deadline of Noon that would probably be just fine.

Alright, let’s say Omni is on the clock at noon eastern if RNATB doesn’t make his pick. And then the next player can draft. @Really_Not_All_That_Bright can come in at any time and make his pick, but it can’t be any of the players selected after his spot.

I’m here. Pick coming.

I hate drafting undersized running backs, but the Cowboys like to run and have nothing behind Pollard. So…

3.01 RNATB - Rashee Rice, WR, KC
3.02 Omni - Cedric Tillman, WR, CLE
3.03 Retro - Will Levis, QB, TEN
3.04 Ellis - Puka Nacua, WR, LAR
3.05 Justin - Eric Gray, RB, NYG
3.06 Gaffer - Michael Mayer, TE, LV
3.07 dale - Israel Abanikanda, RB, NYJ
3.08 Mundi - Trey Palmer, WR, TB
3.09 dale - Evan Hull, RB, IND
3.10 Hamlet - Sean Tucker, RB, TB
3.11 Beef - Josh Downs, WR, IND
3.12 Peteys - Michael Wilson, WR, AZ

4.01 RNATB - Deuce Vaughn, RB, DAL
4.02 Omni -
4.03 Retro -
4.04 Ellis -
4.05 Justin -
4.06 Gaffer -
4.07 dale -
4.08 Mundi -
4.11 Beef -
4.12 Jules -

@Omniscient is up. I think that was my last pick as there hasn’t been a ruling on my request to drop Hassan Haskins.

I missed that request and cannot make a ruling, but my vote would be that draft picks are locked at the beginning of the draft. This format takes several days and injuries or personnel moves during the draft are more than possible, as this situation demonstrates. But generating new draft picks during the draft process seems to me a potential administrative headache. Late injuries and personnel transactions for the bottom of a roster are what teh waiver wire is for.
