SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY League: Year 15

My man Quentin Johnston, who I took 4th overall this year, could have won the game for the Chargers. Here’s what he did instead:

Pretty critical game between Dale and I this week. I’m not going to catch up to him if we’re tied because he’s 3-0 in the division and I’m 0-3, but if I want to take the division I’m going to have to beat him this week and then gain another game on him. Unlikely but if I lose that’s going to pretty much kill my shot at the division

Ellis has a full game ahead of me and a significant point advantage so he’s got a pretty good lead in the wildcard race. I think my result this year is going to be the worst case scenario, finish something like 5th or 6th, miss the playoffs, but no good draft pick.

Jules has a chance to pretty much lock up his division by beating Ellis this week.

All the divisions races are one game apart though in each case the leader has the tiebreaker.

Amazingly, my sudden turn of form mean I am still alive for the division but I would need Dale to lose out and for you to lose to me and Petey.

My 4th round pick Tank Dell is turning out to be great value.

Save me, my beautiful amazing Josh Allen.

For most of the afternoon Dale was predicted as a 85-90% favorite to win but then Josh Allen put up 42 points and swung the match. Now he needs 24 points out of TJ Hockenson to beat me, but I’m a strong favorite. Gives me a fighting chance to make a run, but I really need Devon Achane to come back.

Jules beat Ellis, almost certainly locking up the division.

Retro has an 11 point lead against Gaffer’s Jordan Addison, which is right around his projection, so it’s a 50/50 game. He needs to win it if he wants to make a run at his division since Hamlet won and kept his edge over him.

The wildcard tiebreaker is points, right? I seem to remember that it ignores head-to-head and division record.

Addison isn’t really a yardage gobbler so its pretty dependent on if he gets his TD tonight or not.

Against the Bears at home I’d wager his odds of pulling this off is pretty good.

Yes, to win the division the tiebreaker is division record, but for the wildcard it’s total points.

Believe it or not, if I win both games to end the season, and Jules loses both of his, I’ll take the division.

It’s a long shot, but it’s mathematically possible.

Same here, I guess.

EDIT: And just to add some context, Justin plays Jules next week and then me in the final week. Both of the other games are against Spiritus Mundi, who faces me next week and then Jules in the final week.

The good news for you is that you play Jules next week, so you can make two of those requirements happen in the same game.

I wish my division record was better (beating Dale makes me 1-3 and him 3-1) and I’ve have a better chance to catch him. We’re both 7-5. I have no way of making up the division record edge - because if he loses enough to give me a better division record I’ll just flat out win the division rather than going to a tiebreaker. So I’ll need 1 more win over the next 2 weeks than he gets. We both play the same schedule - against the other division teams, RNATB and Re-Petey.

RNATB is actually still in the running and not too much of a long shot. If he wins out, he’d have a division record of 4-2 and an overall record of 8-6. If either Dale or I lose out in that instance, he’s in. If he wins out and either one of Dale or I wins 1 game he’d tie Dale in division record and probably lose to points assuming that’s a third tiebreaker but he’d beat me in the division record tiebreaker. And since he plays both Dale and I he has a lot of power to make that happen.

Shit. Somehow it never occurred to me that my beautiful unstoppable Josh Allen could have a bye week. But he does.

Also bad news - since I’m in closest competition with Dale, I’d really like if he lost, but his team has 4 starters on bye this week. I suppose the kicker and defense are fairly easy to replace but Lamar Jackson and Josh Jacobs will probably hurt.

I ended up holding on but fell to the 6th seed as Beef had a good week and overtook me on Points.

Looks like I’d need to win out and Hamlet lose out to overtake the Division, if im looking at tiebreakers correctly.

A lot of teams at 7-5 looking at the wildcard, but Ellis has the inside track with looking at the schedule.

I know my good record is 90% a fluke, but I almost want to make some stupid trades and really go for the playoffs.

Wow, do I get a prize for being the team that still hasn’t cracked 1000 points?

You get Marvin Harrison Jr.

I try to avoid players in the Thursday night game, so I’m sitting Dak tonight and starting Jalen Hurts! So nice to have that luxury, I hope it doesn’t blow up on me as Dak has been hot.

Me and the Bears…

Stupid question: Did I miss the trade deadline? Has it always been this early?
