Doh!
Manningcast was pretty entertaining, at least.

Question for my fantasy football experts: I play in another online dynasty league, and Team A just traded Austin Ekeler for Jeff Wilson Jr.
I’m generally adamently oppossed to Commish interference with owners’ decisions in roster building. But this one stinks to high heaven. I likely wouldnt complain, but it is a money league, and I dont know the other owners (although the owners of the two teams have the same last name) since I just joined.
Am I crazy to object to this trade? Of is hands off always the best way to go?
I don’t even know who Jeff Wilson is. If this were a dynasty league you were talking about, the keeptradecut calculator would say the guy sending Wilson would need to also send over one of DJ Moore, Tua, or Kyle Pitts to even the trade out.
Checking just a regular non-dynasty fantasy calculator from the point of view of the guy trading away Ekeler, the rototrade analysis says, and I quote:
Do not make this trade
We’ll have to assume you’re kidding, but no, this trade doesn’t make any sense for you.
In both cases, Ekeler’s value was listed as 6x versus Wilson’s value of 1x. 6400 versus 1600 in the dynasty calculator, 69 versus 14 in the redraft calculator.
That is exceptionally crazy. Yeah, this is collusion. Sounds like a husband pilfering his wife’s team.
I eat rolled up newspapers for breakfast.
I hold onto guys with 1 good year way too long. I finally dropped Allen Robinson for 9 years now because he had one good season. I mean there were reasons to hope he could be productive in the future, especially since it seemed like the Bears offense handicapped him, but it ended up being a wasted roster spot for a long time. DJ Chark is the same deal - just a fluke. And there was a certain JG that may have been on my roster slightly too long.
He was briefly Miami’s primary backup while Achane was injured, and ran for 23 yards in two games. He is now their third RB at best. Before this season he was one of those guys who randomly ran for a million yards in three games for Kyle Shanahan (see Mostert, Brieda, Eli Mitchell, ad infinitum). His current fantasy value is “desperation waiver pickup.”
Ain’t that the truth. I’m still holding onto Chase Claypool because he had a fantastic rookie season in 2020. He’s had multiple meltdowns since then, was run out of Chicago FFS, and I’m still holding out hope he’ll pull it together.
I won this league last year. This year I’m 10th. Bleh.
If you would like to keep a better eye on him, I’m willing to let Jeff Wilson go.
Of course the market seems to have shifted a bit on him so it’s going to cost you.
Trade announcement! I get George Pickens and Gabe Davis. Hamlet gets Chris Olave and my second round pick if it’s better than his (pretty clear it will be).
I thought Olave was QB-proof, but I learned this year he isn’t and the Saints are stuck with Carr for a couple of years at least. I need more upside on my team, and Pickens and Davis are both guys who can put up three touchdowns in a game. I have also noticed the Bills designing plays to get the ball into Davis’ hands in the last few games, something they’ve never done before. I think he’s about to explode.
I’m not writing him off yet, but I also need to plan for a future where Chris Godwin never gets back to being the guy he was before his ACL tear.
Just to clarify, you guys are swapping second round picks next year if yours is better than Hamlet’s, and in the unlikely event it’s not, nothing happens next year?
Thats the plan. If RNATB’s 2nd round pick is before mine, we swap em. If not, we don’t. I’m hoping that wont trigger the “last pick of the draft” scenario that I still dont understand.
One thing I didnt think of is when the trade takes place. This week Olave is on bye, and I have Davis in my lineup. Can we execute the trade after games this week, or do you need it done now RNATB?
I’ll likely be running errands. If RNATB wants to pull the trigger now, please throw Doubs into my starting lineup for Davis’ vacancy. Thanks.
Doesn’t make any difference to me.
If it does get pushed through I will be starting Davis over Rondale More.
I dont know if @SenorBeef was watching the whole time, but our game had some pretty wild swings in projected scoring.
It won´t, since it’s 1 pick for 1 pick, just changing the order. I didn’t push your trade through before the games this week (even retroactively) because neither of you seemed to care/particularly want that. Pushing it through is no problem, but only when it’s clear both people intended for that to happen.
I did, it kept going between 50/50 and you having an 80% lead. It’s frustrating losing by 4 points especially when you’re going to have one of the top scores this week but I’ve been pretty lucky this season (and won last week by 1 point) so I can’t complain. It does suck that I lost on an Achane re-injury though.
Edit: duplicate.
