I have 2 players I really like and both are still here, so now I have to inevitably choose the wrong one.
4.07 Kyle Monongai, RB, CHI
@PeteyPart2 is on the clock
4.08 Tory Horton, WR, SEA
@Jules_Andre is next
If he was there for my next pick I probably would have had to draft him. Thanks for saving me from that.
Well I actually wanted Monongai, so I also am not completely enthused with Horton.
All right, the two guys I was targeting here both fell. I was going to take this guy at 3.10 but decided to do a last second film check on guys I hadn’t watched yet, just in case. Woody Marks jumped off the screen to me, so I passed on this guy certain he would be taken before my next pick. And yet here he is, somehow. So, instead of worrying about losing out on my second option, I’ll just take the guy I wanted originally and be happy about it

3 picks before me. One guy I want. Let’s see what happens…
Yep - he was my coin flip. He was probably the better strategic pick for me, especially as a Kamara handcuff. But apparently I have become a Ben Johnson believer, and if Kamara goes down I think the Saints offense becomes a nightmare this year.
Saints offense is a disaster class no matter what.
The Texans seem unsure if Mixon is going to come back at all this year. So might as well take a flyer with my last pick.
4.11 Nick Chubb (RB, Tex)
@RetroVertigo is up.
Not a terrible idea at all. Rumors are that he doesn’t look the same, but you’ll know easily if he’s going to be useful.
I wish Nick Chubb would retire because he has some of the best career efficiency stats of all time and limping along in Houston can only hurt them. Love the dude but he never recovered from that injury and he’s hitting the age wall for RBs anyway.
4.12 Jalen Milroe QB Sea
@Omniscient is up.
5.01 Brashard Smith, RB, KC
I feel like I must be missing something if this guy is still on the board here. Loving this pick. He may be the primary 3rd down back on day one and he adds to my stable of stupid fast rookie RBs.
@Hamlet is on the clock.
5.02 Savion Williams, WR, 13 time NFL Champions Green Bay Packers
@Ol_Gaffer is on the clock.
He’s a converted WR with pretty great athleticism but doesn’t have RB instincts or change of direction that I saw. He did have some nice runs, but I don’t think he does RB stuff well enough to get the full Jerick McKinnon role, which is his best-case scenario.
Definitely worth a pick at this stage. It depends what you value this late in the draft. He might end up scoring more total fantasy points than anyone I draft this late, but I’m shooting for much higher upside. I play the lottery for the jackpot, not to win $50.
I looked at Smith while I was evaluating Neal and Monangai. I saw pretty much teh same things Jules did. On the other hand reports from Chiefs camp are positive well beyond what his preseason game tape justifies, so he might be lighting things up in practice. But I do think 3rd down/change of pace back in a great offense is his ceiling. But fast pass catcher in an Andy Reid offense is not a bad floor for this late in the draft, either.
Tyrone Tracy is the comp. And while I wouldn’t call him a home run, he definitely has the chance to be a difference maker for a team. And the Chiefs situation is way better than the Giants.
If he’s never better than say Tarik Cohen it’s probably a dud of a pick, but I’m hoping that the Chiefs see the speed relative to Pacheco and Hunt and end up using him 50% of the time. He just needs to learn to block. Brashard was insanely productive his one year at RB in college and has limited wear and he was no gimmick player.
Someone’s been readin Draftsharks
Well, you (and they) might be right. But I don’t think he is as instinctive or as powerful a runner as Tracy. He is faster, though,
