It’s Cleveland. What else are they going to do?
Cleveland is actually a pretty nice city that doesn’t deserve the bad rep it gets from when it was a joke 40 years ago. It’s certainly more interesting than a dozen similarly sized cities that never end up the butt of jokes.
Dale lost by under 2 points, giving him an 0-4 start that he doesn’t really deserve. He’s right there with the upper-middle of the pack in points. If he had 3 more points he’d be in 4th place in points. About the same score as me, and I’m 3-1.
I squeaked by a very close game against Stringer. I’m lucky to go through a tough early start at 3-1, my schedule should let up a little bit for the middle of the season.
Meanwhile, I be crushin’ fools - and that was without Doug Martin. This is usually the point in this league where my season begins to collapse though.
With Dalvin Cook going down my win was a big picture loss. I actually had his back-up on my roster inadvertently anyway, but i huge loss for the long term season and possibly beyond.

Kind of a rough week. I was actually going to go double TE with Gronk/Brate but now Gronk is out too, so that leaves me starting Travis Benjamin in my W/T slot. The only remaining active WR on my roster.

Was looking a bit dicey there for a while but I think I pulled off a win. Zach Miller would have to outscore Lamar Miller and a kicker for Dale to win and that’s fairly unlikely.
RNATB and Varlos have been neck and neck in projections all day, and they’re still in a dead lock 50/50 projection. RNATB needs 50.93 points out of DeAndre Hopkins, Kareem Hunt, and Tyreek Hill.
In a tragic outcome to horrible game. Every New York Giants Receiver was murdered on the field today. Open tryouts to be held tomorrow morning.
Damn, I last checked the scores at the beginning of the fourth quarter of the MNF game, and Varlos had like an 89% chance to beat RNATB. RNATB had a big scoring run at the end of the game ended up coming back to beat Varlos 127 to 122. Sucks, I thought I was going to move up a game on the rest of my division this week.
Petey is off to a rough start - after leading in scoring last year, he’s starting 1-4.
Jules is the most improved team with an impressive 4-1 start.
And somehow Evan Engram put up a 0. This is the third game of 0 points from my TE so far this season, without any injuries. What a pain in the ass.
Thanks, but I think I’ve gotten really lucky so far. Every week it seems like my opponent has had their worst week. At least my draft has been pretty much a home run so far.
Yeah, I turned that game off at halftime thinking that the Texans had Kareem Hunt’s number, and that there was no other route to 50 points. It was especially annoying considering I’ve outscored you substantially but I was going to be down a game. But this Deshaun to DeAndre thing has really given my team a boost. Hopkins has only gone over 100 yards once this season, but he’s caught at least seven balls in every game (until last night, when he only had four but three TDs).
Varlos could have beaten me comfortably had he started Devante Adams or Watson.
As of today, I have the #1, #5 and #11 WRs (as well as #20), the #1 and #24 RBs (plus Doug Martin and like half of the next 25). Ranking all RBs and WRs together, I have #1, #4, #11 and #22.
I also have the #1 kicker. My QBs, TEs and defenses have been fairly horrible, though. Maybe it’s time to make a trade.
Beef, did you adjust Varlos’ lineup for this week? If not, he’s apparently around, because Emmanuel Sanders was moved out of his W/T spot on Friday or Saturday.
Yeah, I’ve been changing his roster to give him the best projected scores before gameday, as I discussed a couple weeks back. His absense is pretty long now.
I’m hoping he’s alright - he was unusually low activity in the weeks leading up to him disappearing which makes me think he was dealing with something big. He also made me assistant commissioner this year, which makes me wonder if he anticipated a long absense. So this seems like something that he may have anticipated, but never mentioned anything about it.
Oddity of the week: I changed kickers this week as I do all the time because kickers are ass and the new guy managed to score 2 points in a game where his game put up 34. 2 PATs. No missed kicks or anything, just never had any more opportunities. I guess they ran a lot of 2 point conversions. Stick with him or scrap him for another random kicker? Who knows?
Dale is super unlucky this year. I started 4-1 and he started 0-5 and I’ve only scored 5 more points than him this season. Jules is also 4-1 with 3 more points than Dale on the season.

I don’t have a strong preference (I don’t remember what we normally did in this league), but I wouldn’t be against it. I’m not starting Mack this week anyway.
I hope I don’t look back on this and think I made a bad move. I have a gut feeling that I will regret this, because I think Cooper might be Braylon Edwards and I am really high on Mack. But, I’m in a weird spot where I need to make a move to try to capitalize on a better-than-expected start; yet, my assets are mostly not yet matured so I’m limited in scope.
Cooper has at least proven he can be an upper-tier WR. I watched all his snaps this year, and he’s still getting open, even while limited by a minor injury. I think his slow start is mental, so I’m hoping for a rebound. At least I’m buying at the absolute bottom, I guess.
If it’s more than 48 hours before games, I push it through right away. If it’s less than 48 hours before games, I typically ask the people involved in the trade to clarify their intentions. If someone forgot that we usually fast track trades, I don’t want them to end up checking on gameday to find that they have an empty roster slot they didn’t realize they’d have, so I generally won’t push it through the day before gameday unless both players are clear that it’s intended to be pushed through immediately.
