According to our league record book, the highest weekly score was 186 by me against Jules last season. That was also the largest blowout ever (117.84). However, the record book doesn’t include the 2009 and 2010 seasons, so Hamlet is still the highest scorer. I vaguely recall Varlos having a 180-something week a few years back, and I think I had a 179 two or three years ago.
Also, **Omni **is only 1 point per game (138.5 versus 139.35) from being on pace to break Stringer’s all-time season scoring average.
If I’d have started Cohen over Morris I’d have blown past it and won this week. Fucking Shanahan bites me in the ass with RB roulette. Haven’t gotten that feeling in a while.
Since my season is fucked, I’m willing to trade productive players for younger players. I’m not desperate to do so, so it’s not a fire sale, but Aaron Rodgers, TY Hilton, Isaiah Crowell, maybe Jordan Howard are up for grabs. Well, pretty much everyone on my roster besides JOSH GORDON is up for grabs, but I’m not as inclined to trade my youth.
So I’ve got two questionable receivers playing in the Monday night game and a lot of players on bye. Wonderful
I’m very interested in Howard.
Send Brandin Cooks.
A bit bizarre that Yahoo chose today to send out auto renewal notices for Yahoo fantasy football. This might be useful information in the summer as football approaches, but in the middle of the current season?

If you play in multiple FF leagues here on the SDMB, be sure to check out the aggregate rankings in [post=21237990]this thread[/post].
It’s a bit late for that. Draft pick?
I think, based on my team composition, I could only trade Howard for another RB (or some combo) or a very high draft pick - since you’ll have a playoff draft pick I don’t think we can make that work.
I’ve only just realized how bad my team is and how little hope there is for the future.
Browns are trading Hyde to Jacksonville which is a huge old what the fuck from me.
They like the guy, he’s done well, I’m totally baffled by this.
On the other hand, my concern was that Chubb would wait behind a competant hide for 2-3 years before he was the guy, so this is fantastic fantasy news for me.
This Hyde trade looks like it might totally fuck me.
My top 3 backs in total scoring this season:
11th: TJ Yeldon
13th: Christian McAffrey
15th: Carlos Hyde
In a league with 24 dedicated RB spots and another 12 RB flex spots, having the 11th, 13th and 15th scoring RBs isn’t terrible. Not great, but not terrible.
But now it looks like Hyde is going to drop out of the top 30, and in doing so will also likely pull Yeldon down to the high teens at least. So after week 9 I’ll be left with McAffrey and (assuming Fournette comes back) Bilal Powell. Ouch.
I suspect Fournette is going on IR, or the Jags would just have signed a scrub to fill in for a couple of weeks.
Think I’m going to outscore you on the year now anyway. flex

Interesting night for me as I’ve got Atlanta’s #2 and #3 receivers going up against Julio Jones. I expect it’ll a big night for at least one of them.
Never thought I’d have a chance to win this week with less than 10 points from a QB and getting negative points from two other positions.
I really want to do another dynasty starter draft with what I know now, but I don’t know if I can load myself up with another fantasy league, so I probably won’t.
Or, you know, this one can reset every 10 years. Yep, every 10 year run, we count the number of times a team has made the playoffs, declare them the winner, then redraft. That seems totally reasonable.
When was the peak of fantasy interest on the SDMB? I think we’re down to one baseball league, no hockey, basketball, or Premier Leagueand just a few NFL football leagues.
I assume it’s just been the fewer number of people on the SDMB and perhaps greater access to sports gambling and the daily fantasy games which exploded a few years ago.
I could handle another dynasty league if there was interest. I’m down to one money league, the dynasty league and HHM.
Peak was probably in 2008-2011 or so. It’s been slowly declining with perhaps a sharper decline in the last two years, or maybe we were patching holes longer than that by having more people play more leagues. I don’t think there’s enough interest to actually start another league unless the league was significantly novel and different in some way, and then we’d just have the regulars sign up.
I kinda wonder if the strong economy has hurt fantasy? I know around that time frame, I played a ton of fantasy as cheap or very low cost entertainment and I was at home a lot more watching sports.
Of course, it didn’t hurt that work hadn’t blocked access to ESPN and Yahoo fantasy.
I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll put it off in this matchup. Still worry about Jones going off on me with a couple TDs
