Another sign of the quality of my team: I’m actually kinda jazzed about picking up RB/WR Danny Woodhead as a FA. NCAA Division II’s all-time leader in everything, he signed as a UFA with the Jets, was cut, and has now caught on with New England, which is where he belonged from the start. Belichick will find a role for the guy, this year or the next.
Of course, most of the guys who The Hood finds a role for nowadays become totally useless for fantasy purposes.
Sure, but considering that I cut Julius Jones to make room for Woodhead, the bar is set pretty low. (Basically, I’m thinking an upside of, say, Kevin Faulk +30%, but with a decent chance to actually hit that upside or something like it … or to at least be worth a long-term roster spot, even if mostly buried on my bench.)

Furt needs Henne and Ronnie Brown to put up a combined 26 points to beat Ellis Dee, otherwise he will retain the league lead. If Furt wins, I become the only undefeated. I actually have a shot at taking the #1 spot even if Ellis Dee wins if Moss and Bess have big days.
I must ask though… why Furt did you start Darren Sproles over Rashard Mendenhall in your W/R flex? That… is very weird.
I must say, Ellis Dee and I in the #1 and #2 slots was pretty unexpected. Although I’m not sure it’s not a fluke - our teams are much better this year, but probably not enough to keep up this pace.
Retrovertigo needs 4 points out of Tom Brady to beat Warner’s brothers… seems pretty likely. Otherwise there aren’t really any matches that are undetermined.
Incidentally, I hope I somehow keep RNATB out of the playoffs by winning the division, after all those objections to a finished-based division structure and gloating that he was going to keep our division locked down indefinitely 
Hamlet continues to get screwed in this league. Even though he took a more traditional beating this week (at my hands), he’s still going to have, I think, the 2nd most points scored through 4 weeks, without a win to show for it. Also, Steve Smith 1.0 was carted off with an ankle injury.
I’m beginning to think I’d better start paying attention to college football, because I’m gonna have a really high draft pick next year…
Damn it Varlos, you managed to bid $1 and $2 more than me on the players I wanted. I don’t know why I was trying to be so stingy anyway, it’s not like someone is going to emerge in this league that’ll justify a $75 bid or something. Now I’m risking having another one of those silly weeks where I can’t find 2 RBs to field on a 25 man roster.
Between that and you and I having top spots in several leagues together I think you’re going to be my nemesis this season.
I am mad $3 wasn’t enough to get Todd Heap back. I have mismanaged my team so bad this year – I might be starting a blank at TE this week!

I have a lot of trading chips on my bench I’d be willing to part with for a good TE. Make me an offer if you like someone? I would rather start some scrub on the WW this week than give up a ton of value so only fairish trades.
Truth be told, I’m not sure why I was being so stingy, either. I probably should have blown you out of the water, but I guess I did a good job estimating where the market for these guys would land. And maybe there more value to hanging on to FAAB$ than we think. I’m already seriously regretting blowing my whole wad on Brandon Jackson in the Auction league, and not just because he’s looking like a bust.
Stringer trades Ryan Torain to RNATB for Zach Miller.
Torain is probably gonna be a beast now that I’m trading him away, but I am happy to get another top 10 TE.
