Odds? I’ll lay my 2nd Rounder in the next draft versus your 1st Rounder.
ETA: I don’t expect this sort of thing to fly, sadly, and of course I’m being mostly (63%) facetious.
There is no way Reid is giving up Kolb when Vick is 31 and more of an injury risk than most QBs.
Done. Anyone else want to put their 3rd against my second too?
Incidentally, the only scenario where Kolb gets traded is if he throws a tantrum about being the backup again and holds out.
I (Warner’s Brothers) accepted a trade with me trading Jon Kitna for Tavaris Jackson from Fightin’ Quakers. I’ve got Drew Brees as a starter, so I don’t see myself using Kitna for the rest of the year. Jackson is likely next (and perhaps this) year’s starter in Minnesota. Plus, I’ve got Delhomme and Kerry Collins as disaster insurance should Brees go down.
Don’t see this one as being controversial since Quakers needs a QB.
furt, you better be really sure about getting a QB in the draft next year. Because Tarvaris might have been the QB you had with the best chance to start next year.
There are always going to be middle of the road QBs available for trade in this league. Just depends on how much you’re willing to give up.
Can this trade get approved and give Quaker’s Kitna’s points from today?
Crap, totally spaced on fantasy football this week and didn’t set any of my rosters. On the plus side, I did start Brad Smith. On the downside, I did not start the Jets defense. Luckily I can still plug in the Chargers, but that’s a downer.
It’s one thing to fast track a trade. Kind of another to fast track it when nobody asks until after the fact.
I’m not against this in general but I think you have to make this declaration before the games are played.
Oh, what the hell, alright. I would have said yes if they’d thought to ask before yesterday’s game, **furt **obviously wanted Kitna for this game since he has no other starting QBs, we know exactly how the lineups should be set, and I’m the one that **furt **is playing this week, so I don’t have to worry about any hurt feelings or the like. After the trade goes through I’ll retro-fix furt’s starting lineup. In the future, yes, you should really expect **not **to get this consideration if you forget to ask for it; it’s just an otherwise very favorable array of circumstances this time.
Also, everyone should note that this week marks the beginning of our Three-Week, End of Season, Intra-Divisional Round Robin Schedule of Games! (We’re currently accepting suggestions for a shorter, punchier name for this event.) So, as long as you’re within a couple of games of your division leader, you’re still in it.
You’re a nice guy Varlos.
How about the Second Annual Justin Bailey’s Going to Run the Northeast Corridor (But this Time He’ll Miss the Playoffs)?
Probably too wordy.
I am really fucking pissed with all these goddamn injuries. Grant. Collie. Stafford. Then I lose Marshall early last week, and Peterson this week. I thought getting fucked in this league last year was a pain, but for fucks sake what’s it take to get a goddamn break?
At least AP got a TD before going out.
Hamlet, at least you made it to week 12 before getting ass raped by injuries. I lost Williams, Addai, Clark, McCluster and Naanee before week 4 was over IIRC.
I lost one of my starting RB’s for the entire season in the second quarter of week one. I lost Collie in Week 6, when he was the #1 scoring WR in the league. This isn’t a new thing.
I would have thought **furt **would have been the one asking. I would have started Brees anyway even if Kitna outscored him. Thanksgiving week is always a crazy one for fantasy with people being busy, but 3 games on Thursday makes it necessary to set lineups.
Oh how the mighty have fallen, RNATB.
