SDMB Guitarists: put up or shut up :-)

This should be fun.

D.K.H.C.P. - The Punk Floyd Demos - Eclipse/Brain Damage

One demo track consisting of a slightly out of tune Dean Cadillac Standard through a Digitech RP100 (super cheesy preset beats!) right into my soundcard, with bonus clipping. With a name like Doctor Kissinger’s Homemade Chocolate Penises it’s no surprise my music is rather obscure, but it’s the closest John Lydon and David Gilmour will ever come to shaking hands, and hey, you asked for it!

I also sing, play drums, bass, and keyboards with an equivalent level of suckitude.

I’ve been out of town and just go back home on the range, where the broadband is and the music can play. I’d like to comment on everyone’s stuff, but I’m so far behind that I could never get caught up again.

However, I will say: dreamer you have a great voice! (Not as good as my partner, Paula’s, but then I’m required to say that) and your SO is a darned decent guitar player as well, so feel free to tell him I said so.

I will be back to this thread with a live, electric cut or two as soon as our drummer recovers from radical knee reconstruction surgery…say, in a month or so.

And thank you all for making this my most successful–and interesting!–thread ever. Please continue! Call your friends, ask them to contribute!

I was informing Paula of the discussion of my track, and she said “Oh, NO! You can’t let them get their impression from yodeling and chipmunk voice!!!” So…here is a track from her latest CD, Red. The track is called Oh, Magi.

Yeah, that’s me playing the acoustic lead parts (and doing background vocals).

Dang it. Should be “acoustic and electric lead parts”…

OK, I’m gonna bump this just one time so that someone can come along and say “OMG, what a great voice” just so I can tell Paula you said so.
