Being over here on the other side of the world I just turned on the live stream to only catch the last question. I thought Clinton’s answer to the last question was a nice subtle “fuck you”, in that there is nothing about Trump that she respects but she respects his children. Perfect answer.
Kellyanne could see the sunny side of a horseturd and spin it as truth.
And convince it to go for a walk after.
Yes it’s a US EIA figure originally. Energy production of all types in the US (fossil and renewable, fuels and end production of electricity, all) is 91% of energy consumed domestically. Often in casual/political discussion though ‘energy’ and ‘oil’ get mixed up. US oil production is only around half of consumption, though that’s a significantly higher % than it was fairly recently. Most of the 9% net, of all energy, is accounted for by oil imports.

CNN commentator made a good post-debate point: Trump doing well enough to keep his campaign going may actually be a win for Clinton. If he had totally imploded and subsequently dropped out of the race, she might face tougher competition with his replacement.
Yeah, Pence may believe he’s doing the right thing because of his religion. But he’s still functionally evil.
Yeah, but that allowed Trump to be the bigger man for the first time.
Look, I don’t care what else happened, Trump promising to assign a special prosecutor to imprison his political opponent is basically all that matters this debate. That’s what dictators do.
I don’t think Trump has any serious chance of winning but what he may have done with this debate is preserved the GOP House majority. There was a serious possibility of his campaigning imploding, more and more Republicans bailing out, and chaotic and bitter arguments breaking out between Trump and the rest of the GOP leading to a loss in the House. All that seems much less likely now.
Not really, Hillary worked that around into her support for children worldwide. That may resonate. But Trump did finally state a full sentence.
CNN commentator talking about Trump’s pacing, stalking, and creepy behavior.
Because I don’t vote social issues at the federal level. The federal government has little or no say over abortion or gay rights. It’s all about economic issues and foreign policy at the federal level.
Melania was wearing a dress with a “Pussy bow”.
Yeah, but he actually made the case for why Clinton should be President. He didn’t have to do that, but it’s clear he really believes that. And I KNOW Clinton admires some things about Trump because before this race they were pretty chummy.
They do nominate SCOTUS justices. But more importantly, it sends a message to gay Americans when an anti-gay bigot is elected, just as it sends a message to black Americans if we elect a white supremacist. Isn’t that a big deal? Why would you want to contribute to that?
Yes, it was a great point.
Oddly, in the first debate, despite the occasional ramble about his son and his computer skills, I think he was stronger. I think Trump was a complete and total mess this time.
He couldn’t answer a question.
He couldn’t finish a sentence.
He was disconnected from reality.
He shambled around stage, and spewed out odd garbage like Drunk Uncle at a holiday feast.
He interrupted. He argued with Hillary. He argued with the moderators.
This was the first time I looked at one of his performances and seriously thought there was something to the idea of Donald having dementia. How exactly did he get from a question about the Supreme Court to Hillary needing to donate more of her own money to her campaign? It’s like some bizarre version of twister.
I would never elect a pure bigot. And you should never elect someone who promises to not enforce the law.
You beat me to it – just got home.
I feel absolutely no restraint in saying this: anyone – and I mean anyone – who votes for Donald Trump, or even votes third party to spite Clinton because of her Wall Street transcripts or whatever else…go fucking fuck yourself.
Trump has crossed what might be the most uncrossable line in all of democracy: threatening to jail his political opposition, and on top of that he’s threatening retaliation on those who abandoned him.
This is deadly serious business and I don’t doubt for a minute that Donald Trump and his bag of Midwestern mullahs and trailer park Nazis would attempt to make good on what he’s talked about doing.
I’ve no doubt that there will be serious talk of contesting the outcome of the election on election night, through the courts and intimidation and God knows what else.
I will also say this: news organizations and journalists should absolutely stop trying to give both sides equal time. Tyrants do not deserve equal time. They should - they must - pull out all the stops, dig up every spec of dirt on Donald, stop trying to ‘play fair’ in reporting on Hillary’s ‘scandals’ and they should bury Trump’s campaign into the waste bin of history.
Early Trump threatened once again to send Hillary to prison. Besides being what dictators want to do with opponents his kind words in the end sound contradictory…
Unless Trump does know how deep in doodoo he is with his taxes, foundation, university and many other issues and he is looking for mercy.
