Sdmb mafia

You, sir, are no idiot.

That was less helpful than it could have been. For reference, who is who?

Is there such thing as a remotely normal game? IIRC, the last game you played in was Conspiracy? Without being a Gastard game, that’s about far from “normal” as you can get!

Booze = Diomedes.

Rapier = Kid Vermicious

Santo Rugger = Pygmy Rugger

As promised, I’ve done my reread. And may I say that I loove the multiquote feature–thanks, Jerry!

These two things pinged me. I’ve seen discussion (don’t remember who, though) about a scum tactic called ‘anti-lurking’–basically, the player talks often, and in big posts, but never really says anything that resembles taking a stance on something important. Hal has struck me as doing this. Not sure if it’s vote worthy yet, but it’s worth noting.

How does Pleo know we have vanilla roles? It’s certainly a reasonable assumption to make, but still…

Given the sort of things that Santo’s done before, this is unsuprising. Says jackall about his alignment, but it’s unsurprising.

What, exactly, is a “‘win-more’ bonus power”?

This question needs to be answered. Note, however, that OK is referring to a post made during night, though just before the dawn.

Why does Squidio want to jump on a lynch train? He hasn’t offered any thoughts on my general scummyness or townieness, he just wants to jump on the train. That seems really suspicious, though it’s mitigated by the fact that he said it out loud. As for the chestnut he’s torn between, I’m not sure how valid it is. Remember, we don’t know when the scum can communicate; they may already have, they may currently be, they may not have yet. If they have, then the 3rd vote thing is invalid, since the other players would have likely informed him. The entire reasoning seems highly flawed for a townie.

OTOH, it appears Boozy Squid has also gone through this thought process himself. This would seem to make it less suspicious, but–in my opinion–it actually looks worse that way, because if he was actually paying attention, he wouldn’t have posted it. Thus, he was either being inattentive (unlikely, given we’re talking about Boozahol), or he is a scum deliberatly agonizing over his vote choice to keep the main suspects from being scum.

Vote Boozahol Squid, P.I.

I’m new(ish). Boozahol Squid used to be Diomedes.

20%? Well, I have a guess about what you’re referring to. Kind of a ‘win-more’ bonus power?

A data point. People are talking about this and that about what if Ed and Jerry are this or that. I’m just coming right out and saying that I know what the role of Terry is and what he does. If everybody is going to be speculating wildly about who does what based on what their role is, I figured the town might as well have another point of reference to be able to compare. How many times has it been said that scum have info, and town has numbers? I’ve given the town my info without sacrificing my number (yet). Like I said, I thought about it for a bit, and don’t see how it can actively *hurt * the Town.

Not quite. They’re just as likely to off a Vanilla if they think I’m not worth going after. I see null advantage on that front, good sir.

Care to elaborate, for humor’s sake?

Thanks.

Interesting. I call that lurking in plain sight. It’s kind of odd to accuse someone of that within, what, 8 hours of days starting? There’s not much hard evidence so far to take a stance on.

Because it says so in the opening post? Beyond that, are you fishing to see if Pleo is vanilla?

More fishing. Why do you need to know this? Hasn’t Santo revealed enough?

Which is why I didn’t pursue it further. I was just noting that for future reference.

It does? Lemme check…so it does. Okay. I sorta glazed over that. Never mind then.

I wasn’t asking Santo. I was asking Boozy. And Santo asked Boozy too, two posts up, so it’s not like I’m the only one confused.

Either its significant or its not. If it is, why drop it? If its not, why bring it up?

But why did you ask? How does asking that question help you find scum, which ought to be your primary objective?

Again, why? What purpose does it serve?

Concerning whether or not I knew the current deadline: If I did, I would tell everybody, and there wouldn’t be much of a point in Og not telling us.

Concerning the conditions required to allow me to extend it and how long I can extend it: I already took your advice before I read your post.

And, being called a bonehead from BlaM, oddly, seems like a compliment. I’ll take it!

You clearly are reading along. Any reason you aren’t participating?

It is significant enough to examine, just not significant enough to act upon (unless/until I get other corroborating evidence).

I thought maybe he was referring to vanilla scum. He said roles in a very pointed way. But that point is moot now.

I’ve never seen the term. I’d like to know what he’s talking about. And if it doesn’t jibe, I’d like to point that out too, but I won’t know until he defines it.

Now that you’ve nitpicked my minor ponderings, tell me; what do you think of my case against Boozy?

What pointed way was that? The exact phrase was “vanilla and pro-Town power roles”, so my first impression would be that he’s differentiating vanilla roles from power roles. I wouldn’t be inclined to think “vanilla scum” from that comment.

Not too much. If Boozy hadn’t’ve brought it up, someone else would have, since it’s a semi-legitimate discussion point on Day One in a newbie-player evaluation.

It was during the Day, not at night. Post 181 started the day. Amrussell’s post was 184.

You have seen my new signature line haven’t you?

Ok I’ll lay it out for you since, to be honest, I’ve never seen you around before. Welcome, however.

I can merely browse and post intermittently during the day and typically do all my heavy drinking and analysis at night or on weekends. Talk to some of the grey beards and they can confirm this. Early on in these games there is a certain amount of static. I will continue to do my part.

However, repeating about getting votes in early, especially because of the unknown nature of Day end, the obligatory random vote discussion and the mass claim suggestion, have to some extent become a little passe. I’ve matured to an extent. Kind of like a nice Pinot Noir. One that you would be happy to serve with Kobe beef and some freshly steamed asparagus, along with a side salad and a bananas foster for dessert (you could go for a crepe suzette but that would entail brandy and it is a weeknight after all).

For fucks sake we are what eleven hours into this puppy so if you want a list of scum you are going to have to wait until after tomorrow’s morning dump. Sheesh.

Now for the truly insightful analysis. Obama carries California, McCain wins Texas.

And pede is pinging me - but then he always does. And Jsexton (with whom I have never had the honor of being in a game with) looks to be a hungry dog with a bone. And BLAM’s non random random vote comments are, as always, perplexing yet intriguing.

I don’t believe you. You’re backtracking. Confirm vote.

Since I don’t think you’re bussing a scumbuddy, I’m not impressed.

I…what? What does ‘confirm vote’ mean? And I am not backtracking, that’s what I thought when I reread Pleo’s post.

I’m not even sure I can respond to this one.

And I’m certainly not making out with Boozy

Relax man. I don’t know your style. It was a valid question.

I think there is enough content here for others to discuss. I’m going to cut back posting until everyone else has had a chance to weigh in. I’ll be keeping my eye on the thread and will respond to any direct questions.

Uh, the presence of posts contraindicates non participation.

Separate Vote. Who wants me to post more often?

Strawman argument.

Troll?

Presence of posts does not indicate participation, their content is important too. Are you just being obtuse for fun now?
