I was turning over in my mind how to make a glass of cold beer look as cold as possible - steam it with a kettle, maybe? In the end I decided that a photo of a veteran car at least looks interesting. And one of the guys was so cold he was wearing a hat!

I’m in northern England. It’s chilly, but it doesn’t look chilly. I’m planning to go in a different direction but it’ll take a bit of setup and experimenting. If I run out of time, I’ll have to hit the archives.

Is my entry showing up for your guys? It seems to show up when I view the contest thread on my phone, but not when I view it on my laptop.
Looking on my phone, the preview doesn’t show in your post, but it does click through to the actual image in Flickr (ie the link works). I’ll check on my desktop shortly.
I just posted mine. I actually like this one better, but it doesn’t quite say ‘cold’ like the other one does.
I had a hard time deciding between 2, also. I nearly went with this one:

@WildaBeast It also doesn’t load on my desktop, but again clicks through to Flickr. Try lloking at the thread in a Private Browsing (Incognito, etc) window - it might be that the reason it did work for you on your phone is that the image is cached.

Right, I’ve decided what pic I’m going to post. It contains identifiable people, and since our (mod-imposed, in this case) rules say that we can’t post photos of people without permission, I’m waiting for a reply to my WhatsApp message asking if it’s OK to post it. If not, I have a plan B.

It was another good (if chilly) month, with lots of great shots. Annoying, we got frost and a little snow today, after I’d submitted my pic. Oh well.
@BetsQ - please PM me with your choice of subject for the next competition. As ever, there’s some guidance in the very first post of this thread as to what makes for a good theme. Congrats again!
OMG! How cool! I need to give some credit to my dog, who always makes me get out and about bright and early (but almost never lets me slow down enough to take a picture). Even more credit to my kiddo–the real photographer in the family–who helped me edit out a green flare. Also, I should note that my photographer kiddo is outraged that @Dung_Beetle’s cute little snowman didn’t win.

Aw, thanks! We literally found that snowman while traveling in Alaska. I think it would be great if the snowman-builder found that picture on the internet someday.
