Let’s go with “Smooth”.
Last month I was tempted to take a photo of sandpaper. This month, peanut butter.
Sadly, only chunky in the cabinet…
that’s nuts!
In first again! And I do hope this isn’t stretching the “smooth” concept too far.
I’ll buy it. Ironically, it’s also gritty.
A picture of my favorite work of public art, maybe my favorite work of any kind of art! The Bean.
My “Smooth” entry was a sunrise on the lake a few hundred yards behind my house.
It looks serene and beautiful, but I can assure you that New Jersey’s urban sprawl is just fifty feet to the left in the photo.
By the way, here’s the same lake back in January when I was shooting 6x6 film incorrectly loaded in an old Mamiya 6 Automat. I managed to scratch the film by putting the pressure plate in backwards, hence the thin horizontal black lines. But I loved the shot of the single trail of footprints in the ice, so I did an 8x8" darkroom print of it, warts and all.
Thank you, Mr. Mustard.
I think I will not win the beauty or popularity contest, if my wife’s expression is any guide. But if they eat the mosquitoes, I’ll be happy!
It seems you can also post videos. Even nicer. See the one with the gang in the bottom left corner? I call him Murphy. He’s German. And the fat one with the blond wig and the bad teeth? That one I call Boris.
In an odd coincidence, I got an email from Flickr about 45 minutes ago, announcing they’re starting a monthly photo contest with a different theme each month. This month’s theme: “we’re sweatin’ the small stuff” – macro shots.
Copycats.
Frickn Flickr.
mmm
I knew what that one was going to be.
I have a pretty good idea of what my subject matter will bee, as long as I don't bumble it.
That was obvious, wasn’t it? But you did not know the Spider Murphy Gang? For Germans of a certain age that is just as obvious.
Wow, already some excellent entries. I’m afraid I’ll have to sit this one out since I’m pretty sure I don’t have any good candidates.
Close-up cat pictures count!
@Dogginit, what the hell’s that?!
