Thank you everyone for a really great time! I’m sorry to have to drop out at this point, but things have gotten a little crazy for me these days and I am not able to give this game the attention it deserves. I enjoyed playing with all of you, and maybe in a couple months I’ll be able to get in on another game. I’ll be watching to see how the game goes if I get a few free moments.

Well I was going to volunteer, but then someone mentioned the bad element hang out in Austria.
FYI, the webpage is updated for the consumption of the potential scrappers. I’d like to revamp the lineup as quick as possible in order to prevent much atrophy on the players.
ppg_shg, if you’re seriously interested shoot me an email to confirm. WL, I’d also be willing to let you jump in if you’d like too. You’re back-up GM status shouldn’t be a problem and I know you’ve recently been excused from Mini-Me. As always, all the other usual suspects are welcome, or any lurkers who maybe missed the last game start-up.
Ok, I know that I should probably shoot an e-mail to Omni for this first, but I can’t seem to get to my e-mail now. Checked it, and now the Yahoo page just sits… loading… loading…
Anyway, due to the fact that I’m about to loose my internet connection for weeks, possibly months, I’m going to have to bow out of the game.
I hate to do it, as I was having a good time and learning the game… the point of this game, as I saw it.
When I get my stuff back, I’m very eager to get in a new game.

Well, if we want to solicit new players it would probably help to go outside of this thread. I doubt that there are that many people with an unofficial interest who have followed thirteen(!) pages deep into this.
If worse comes to worse, I could go with a four way draw proposal, including Italy, England, France and Austria. McG’s reluctance to jump right in was mainly to do with the fact that I’d discussed my strategy with him via e-mail. So he thought it might be best if someone more neutral took over France. Ditto, to a much lesser extent, WhiteLighnting. Sorry, didn’t mean to poison the pool, just didn’t know we’d have two players dropping out.

Just to step back in with an update. I haven’t gotten a email from Tristan, so I don’t know what the situation is, but I assume that he’s out of action as well. The game is two players down, and I’m going to take Shibb’s advice and poll the other Dip threads looking for players to step in. I’ll keep everyone posted. Hopefully I’ll have feedback early this week.

I’ll take up the Russian cudgel if acceptable to the remaining players. My negative experience with the English bulldog precludes me from playing France fairly.
