I had the advantage of knowing that a not-that-good Bucs team crushed them in pre-season. I figured that even if the Chiefs aren’t that bad, it meant that they were behind other teams in terms of preparedness for the season. The work stoppage wasn’t handled by everyone equally, so you can’t really go on where teams should be normally.
Don’t forget to get your pick em and survival picks in. If you miss the early games for pick em, you can still pick the late games so it isn’t a total loss.
That was a 1-2 punch. Chiefs, then Ravens. With my ability to pick games, I may be going the worst record of anyone actually trying to choose games.
god,i am ashamed in the spread pool…got 1,yes 1,and have the Rams tomorrow.
Wow, I am really bad at Salary Cap. Probably what I get for not playing any sort of fantasy whatsoever.
We didn’t lose anyone this week, the two misses are one-strikers, both picking New England.
Taber, Selhurst Blues, and Court Jesters were eliminated week 2. 8 people have 1 strike. 13 are perfect.
I’ve never had a strike before week 10 or 12 or so, so I really screwed up. Got a little cute (retarded) with my week 1 pick there. Usually I play it safer early on while the NFL shakes out.
Yeah, thanks, rub it in why don’t you. :smack:
Playing it safe. That’s what I thought I was doing when I changed my pick from the Titans to the Pats.
New York Giants massacre.
Whole lotta folk going out with that Giants loss.
virtual bloodbath on the survival board with the Giants pic
Looks like it’s going to be a 4 player race.
Not necesarily. There are three players with no strikes, but they could hypothetically get the next two weeks wrong, leaving alive people who have one strike. But they definitely have the edge.
The Giants screwed us up big time. I actually almost switched my pick earlier because I figured the Giants would be a huge pick for everyone and that I could be on the right side of a catastrophe if I picked something else. Oh well.
18 of us picked the giants. 9 were already one strikers and are out, and 9 more became one strikers.
That was my thought process too, but I decided I’d go for the shoe in now and take a riskier pick later. Oh well.
We had 3 people pick Baltimore last week. For one it was his last strike, for two it was their first strike, leaving only one unblemished record. “Way too much time on my hands”, not sure who that is. He made a risky pick this week in Philly, though. Everyone with 1 strike is still in.
Five of them have Baltimore though, and that’s not looking great so far.
Looks like I’m going out on NO. Unreal.
I thought I totally had this Survival thing pegged this year. i have nothing but good teams left. Then Bal (4-1 at the time) and NO (5-2) lost to Jax (1-5 at the time) and StL (0-6) respectively. I switched my pick from the Giants this morning when I figured the Giants would blow another easy one. Almost did, too. Well shucks
Well shit.
Apparently when I was setting my picks the Confidence selections didn’t take. Not sure what the deal was there, but it’s annoying since the picks saved and I had a pretty good week.
Are there Commish powers in this game? Can the organizer retoractively set my confidence values in some arbitrary manner (ascending or descending?) to get me something so I don’t have to eat a 0 point week (I missed week 1 and always wasted my dropped week).
There doesn’t appear to be a way for me to edit picks or values. In fact, when I go to your scores this week, it specifically says: “Commissioner: You are not allowed to edit this team’s picks”
I also don’t see a way to adjust total score. The only options I have are basic group functions like turning confidence points on/off, how many weeks to drop, and when the pick deadline is set for. Sorry.
Pisser.
Well, if you figure out what your score would’ve otherwise been, you can at least mention your real score at the end of the year for comparison purposes.
